Pipefitter
ARC are recruiting for pipefitters for ongoing industrial work in Basildon and also works within a workshop environment.
£23 PH
The company provides mechanical engineering services to a wide range of industrial sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Fabricate and assemble: Be able cut pipe set up fittings/butts for welder ( Typically 1/2″ to 30″ Carbon & Stainless steel)
- Assembly and Disassembly: Assist in the assembly and disassembly of piping systems and associated equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Documentation: Maintain daily record sheets of pipefitting activities.
Skills / Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter in an industrial setting, preferably within the petrochemical, oil and gas, or manufacturing industries.
- Evidence of time served apprenticeship (preferable)
- NVQ Qualification (preferable)
- Knowledge of pipefitting techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Proficiency in using pipefitting tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
Requirements:
- Valid pipefitting trade qualification or equivalent.
- Safety certifications – CCNSG Safety Passport or similar (CSCS)
- Overtime and weekends, as required
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Job Role – Carpenter / Multi-trade

Our client a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across the East is looking for an experienced Carpenters/Multi-trades to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract assisting in the reactive repairs in properties covering mainly Norwich area. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced carpenter who also holds skills property maintenance sector and other trades.
This is a mobile engineer role covering domestic maintenance works.
The successful individual will ideally hold a minimum level 2 NVQ or be time-served in carpentry whilst also being experienced in completing various other day to day repairs/maintenance tasks such as plumbing, plastering, tiling, roofing, painting and decorating etc. As a skilled multi- trade operative with relevant experience in responsive maintenance and voids works you will be required to undertake a variety of allocated works across your designated area.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Management of day to day jobs allocated by a central team.
Updating PDA devices with key information and work schedules.
To ensure all assigned tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient standard.
Promoting the client’s corporate image and excellent service standard on every resident visit.
Making decisions upon specialist experience and knowledge.
Ensuring compliance at all times with necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities of repair work and contractor compliance.
Managing van stock effectively.
Taking part in out of hours on call system as required by the service.
Knowledge and Experience
Experience within a domestic maintenance environment.
Carpenter / Multi Trade experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills, telephone skills and interpersonal skills.
Excellent planning and organisational skills.
An understanding and ability to show excellent customer service skills.
Certificates and Qualifications
Trade City & Guilds/ NVQ qualification.
Asbestos Awareness Training. (ARC can provide free online training for this)
Full UK driving license & own van.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday 7.30-16.00 hrs (3pm finish on Fridays).
There is an on call rota which you will be asked to join after a qualifying period.
The role is offered on a temp-perm basis leading to a full time position with the company after 13 weeks as long as performance and standards are met.
Uniform will be issued with this role from day 1, overtime available after 39 hours per week. Must have own van and tools.

HGV1 AND HGV2 DRIVERS NEEDED GATWICK
Due to continued growth with a leading logistics company in Gatwick, we are urgently seeking to recruit for an experienced hgv class 1 and class 2 curtainside driver to work all year round.
Class 1 drivers are needed for NIGHT trunking work, Start times are are between 1800-1930 to 0430-0600 finish
Class 2 drivers will be for day work for around 0700-1700 delivering pallets kerb side.
