Our Client is looking for a Payroll Clerk to assist in all activities regarding the management of employee payments in the company. You will undertake a variety of tasks such as entering payroll information, calculating wages and making payments.

You will have a great understanding of the concept of confidentiality. You will be experienced in entering data with attention to detail and will have good maths skills to make the necessary calculations. The ideal candidate will be a thorough professional with good communication abilities.

The goal is to carry out all payroll procedures with speed and accuracy.

The role will involve managing payment packages using payroll software, collect and verify timesheet information for all employees, calculate pay according to hours worked incorporating overtime, manage and calculate taxes and deductions, update paper and electronic payroll records by entering adjustments on pay rates, employee status changes etc., calculate SSP/ MAT payments, deal with questions regarding payroll from Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll and Prepare and submit reports with payroll information to Manager.

The successful candidate will have familiarity with general accounting principles, experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality, good computer skills, excellent math and numerical skills, outstanding organisational and time management skills and excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving.

THE ROLE

• To provide administration and IT support to the recruitment and retention manager
• Supporting the recruitment process
• Screening application forms and chasing any gaps.
• Book and confirm interviews
• Collection of references and verification
• Staff on boarding to include both internal and external IT systems
• Previous experience or account creation, assigning/granting access permissions to software platforms etc.
• Responding to IT admin requests via our support referral system.
• Previous exposure to any support system either IT or other.
• Great problem solving skills
• Great communication skills
• Creating templates and documenting procedures:
• Competent using Google Docs/Sheets and Microsoft Word/Excel
• Competent using Photoshop/illustrator
• The creation/updating of new and existing guides
• Printing of Staff ID badges
