THE ROLE
As the HR Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the existing HR department’s services for the Company. Your responsibility will involve providing guidance and support to a workforce of 100 staff while serving as an HR expert across various domains, including recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, people management, payroll, compensation & benefits, and employee wellbeing. You will lead and manage the current HR team to ensure the efficient delivery of HR services.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment: Oversee the entire recruitment and compliance process, from advertising job positions to conducting vetting and DBS checks and facilitating the onboarding of new staff.
Employee Relations: Offer expert advice and support to line managers and employees concerning the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures and training.
Learning & Development: Assist staff and management with career progression and training plans. Administer in-house training initiatives to promote staff development and upskilling.
Culture and Employee Wellbeing: Monitor and provide support for Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) usage. Collaborate with Line Managers to improve staff motivation, health, and wellbeing when necessary.
Policies & Procedures: Implement and continuously develop HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistent and fair application.
Payroll: Oversee the monthly payroll process and submit relevant management and financial information to Finance and Senior Management.
Adhoc Responsibilities: Manage and update internal HR systems. Support the Directors in managing company accreditations, insurance claims, and related matters. Ensure data compliance and GDPR requirements are met for the Company.
Requirements:
- CIPD Level 5, and/or equivalent experience.
- Desirable: CIPD Level 7, and/or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or Advisor.
- Knowledge and experience of Employment Law and change management.
- Strong ICT skills.
- Excellent communication skills to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and communicate effectively with staff.
- Capable of working well under pressure and independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient in managing a team.
- Highly organized, efficient, and adaptable, with the ability to anticipate needs.
