Salary: £20,800
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for Adult Education Lead to ensure that our client’s Ethos and Values are at the core of all your actions, this role is responsible for collaborating with the Director of Adult Education and the entire Core Group. Its primary objective is to provide support to Registered Managers and the broader management teams within the home/school network to ensure they operate their homes/schools in a manner that aligns with the needs of Adult Education.
This a fantastic opportunity to work with an independently run provider.
THE ROLE
- Support individuals with autism, mental health conditions, and learning disabilities toward greater independence.
- Promoting & Supporting the Ethos around Adult Education:
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Adult Education to develop and bolster the department.
- Foster an inclusive and positive culture for adults to access and achieve educational goals.
- Contribute significantly to the pursuit of outstanding education quality.
- Perform effective initial assessments, identify accurate starting points, and create appropriate Individual educational plans.
- Cultivate productive relationships within the company and with external stakeholders.
- Plan activities in homes to bolster adult education and provide a 24-hour learning framework.
- Ensure alignment of EHCPs with the Director of Education.
- Support Teaching Assistants and Support Workers to meet funding requirements across EHCPs, Education, Community, and Social Inclusion.
- Formalise documentation of all learning activities in homes for inspections and standards.
- Encourage staff in homes to enhance their education and community knowledge for successful activities.
- Mentor and coach support staff on 24-hour learning and its integration into daily practices.
- Deliver the adult education program within the homes.
- Prepare, deliver, or participate in necessary learning or development programs and meetings.
- Stay informed about relevant legislation and key documents for Adult Education.
- Measure quality and gather feedback to advance the Adult Education department.
- Collaborate with inspectors during inspections to support outstanding outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Prevent strategy, and Equality/Diversity.
- Maintain flexibility in working hours and work with all residents, verbal and non-verbal.
- Document themed days and weeks in the Homes.
- Fulfil any additional functions required as needed.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
- Level 3 award in Education and Training (PTLLS)
- Previous experience within social care/education sectors
- Positive role modelling.
- Willingness to expand on knowledge and undertake training.
- Good communicator on all levels.
- Excellent commitment and reliability.
- Must hold a full clean UK driving licence – travel between sites is essential
