The Role: Electrician
Location: Kings Lynn and surrounding areas
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £32,000.00 – £33,000.00 per year
Our client, a large family run business with over 50 years in building industry are seeking a skilled electrician to join their planned maintenance team on an ongoing basis. Looking for someone who has enough experience with domestic and commercial installations for local contract.
The work will be mainly in and around the Cambridge area.
Job Details:
- Prepared to travel
- Computer literate/able to use a pda/tablet to complete certificates and reports
- Time served with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Good knowledge of BS7671 18th edition.
- Preferably hold a JIB/ECS card
Tasks /experience:
Domestic properties:
- New build installations
- Rewires (flush and surface in voids or occupied properties)
- EICRs
- Completing remedial work
- Consumer unit changes
- Kitchen /bathroom upgrades
- Wiring and installation of hard wired smoke detection
- wiring of boiler controls would be beneficial (S plan, y plan, combi boilers)
Commercial/industrial:
- EICRs
- 3phase and single phase works
- Distribution Board changes
- Installing metal trunking, cable tray, cable baskets.
- Installing circuits/laterals
- Some knowledge of boiler controls/BMS would be an advantage
Qualifications:
- City and guilds 236/2360 L2/3, 2330 (Old qualifications)
- Testing and inspection qualifications (2391 old) 2394, 2395, or EAL inspection and testing
- City and Guilds 2356, (NVQ) 2357,5357, 2382, EAL requirements for electrical installations, level 3 NVQ Diploma in electro technical services.
- City & Guilds 2391.50 (new 2017) periodic inspection or electrical installation condition report (EICR)
- City & Guilds 2391.52 (new 2017) covers both 2391.50 and 2391.51
- EAL Approving electrical installation work in dwellings in compliance with building regulations
Both self-employed and PAYE options are available on temporary basis. Paid mileage.
Permanent offer includes van, fuel card, phone, 20 days leave.
