The Role: Kitchen Fitter
Location: Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, Newmarket & Cambridge
Job Type: Full-time, temp to perm
Salary: £16.00-17.00 per hour
Our client, a large family owned business who have been delivering high quality services to clients in the social housing and local authority sector for 50 years are seeking a Full Time Kitchen fitters to join their maintenance team on an ongoing basis . To carry out and assist with all trade related tasks as a Kitchen Fitter working as (but not restricted to) part of a customer focused team.
The hours of work will be 42.5 per week. The area covered is Cambridge and surrounding areas.
Duties:
- The full installation of a kitchen upgrade
- The ability to read drawings
- Basic decorating skills
- Ceramic tiling
- Floor levelling
- Laying of floor tiles
- Basic Plumbing
Main Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the effective and efficient repairs of all Kitchen Fitting duties, including all associated works within both occupied and void properties using the required tools.
- To assess and carry out accurate planned repairs efficiently and effectively maintaining our company ‘Right First Time ‘approach towards our customers.
- To ensure that the work is undertaken in a timely manner, whilst maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- To manage customer enquiries, responding in a professional manner coordinating with our Operations Centre.
- Providing out of hours support on a rota based system. Additional remuneration will be incorporated for this.
Candidates must have the following:
- Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 within a relevant trade OR a proven track record to reflect appropriate trade experience with Kitchen modification
- Full UK Driving License
- A good knowledge of the general building and construction industry
- Good understanding and knowledge of basic Health and Safety
Contract: Full time , temp to perm
Salary from: £16.00-17.00 per hour or price work options considered
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 08.00 – 17.00hrs Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Workplace Health and Safety: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 2 or 1 Years Experience (required)
- Full Valid Manual Driving License (required)
