Job Title: Health & Safety Manager
Job Type: Freelance – 6 months duration
Location: Wrexham, Wales
Rate: £300 – £350 per day CIS (Digs Paid Seperately)
Company, Project & benefits of a Health & Safety Manager:
The Health and Safety Professional will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment on the construction site, with a focus on overseeing the installation of pipe works. This role involves managing health and safety protocols for a site with up to 100 personnel, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities of a Health & Safety Manager:
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures in line with industry regulations.
- Oversee the installation of pipe works, ensuring that all activities comply with health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Provide health and safety training and guidance to all site personnel.
- Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain accurate records of health and safety inspections, incidents, and training.
- Collaborate with the site supervisor and other key personnel to ensure safe work practices are maintained throughout the project.
- Ensure all safety equipment and protective gear are in place and used correctly by workers.
Desirable Experience of a Health & Safety Manager:
- Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety professional on construction sites, ideally with experience managing sites of similar scale (up to 100 people).
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly in relation to pipe work installation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and guide site personnel on safety practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
