ARC is currently looking for a Pipe Welding Supervisor in Wrexham for 6 months industrial work.

10 hours paid per day.

Digs will be booked by client.

Scope of Work: Pipe Welding Supervisor (Internal Code: WS0011)

Position Overview: The Pipe Welding Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the pipe welding team, ensuring that all welding activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required specifications. The supervisor will work closely with the pipe welder, ensuring compliance with project plans and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the pipe welding team, ensuring work is completed safely and according to the project schedule.
  • Oversee TIG, MIG, and Arc welding operations on stainless steel and carbon steel pipes, ensuring adherence to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly in relation to welding activities.
  • Conduct quality checks on welds and ensure that all welding tasks meet required standards and codes.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to welders, resolving any issues related to welding procedures or equipment.
  • Coordinate with the site manager, Quality Control Welding Inspector, and Health and Safety team to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to quality and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of welding activities, including progress reports, material usage, and any deviations from plans.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior welders as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a welding supervisor, with strong knowledge of TIG, MIG, and Arc welding techniques.
  • Experience supervising welding operations on stainless steel and carbon steel pipes.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to welding and construction activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the welding team and other project staff.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in overseeing welding quality.
