Are you an experienced Ground Worker looking for work?

ARC are seeking an experienced Ground Worker on behalf of our client, a well-known Civils Company company with sites across the East Anglia and Essex.

We are seeking a Ground Worker (ideally a gang of 2) to assist with installing ducts,placing type 1 and compacting for concrete slab preparation on a civils site For around 8 weeks.

We require a Ground Worker to start on Thursday 11th August.

Requirements for the role:

– A valid CSCS Card

– Anglian Water Passport (not essential- however will need to complete once started)

– Full PPE (Hard hat, Boots-must be lace up, Highvis, Gloves and Glasses- must be full orange Top and Bottoms)

– Experience on a civils site (Ideally 3 year’s experience)

This ground worker contract is Monday – Friday with the working hours of 07:30 – 16:30 Monday to Friday.

There may be some weekend work available.

Hourly Rate :

– £18-£19 per hour – CIS Payments available

ARC Group are currently recruiting for an experienced site manager with mechanical experience. The successful person will be responsible for the smooth running and completion of designated works to the required time scales, budget and high levels of quality.

Main duties include; but not limited to:

Review of the Scope, Vetting RAMS Documents where required.
Issuing technical Submittals of all Equipment / Packages under guidance of Project Manager
Managing Sub Contractors to maintain programme targets
Managing materials, ensure deliveries are complete and on site for the tasks in hand
Quality Control, Produce and Issue quality control documents, snag sheets and follow through to sign off.
Ensure the specification, drawings and schedules are followed and deviation is recorded to the PM for variations.
Manage all Health and Safety on site to include Toolbox Talks
Assist with Commissioning and Handover
Report on site progress to PM and undertake daily activities briefings to ensure programme is met.
Effective overall management of all mechanical installation activities to ensure completion, with minimal snags, by the agreed time scales to the current regulations / standards and to the satisfaction of the client
Ensure site rules are observed by EJ Parker employees and its sub-contractors
Liaise with the Project Manager on the specific requirements of the contract
To assist the Company with Process / Quality Improvements; to continuously improve installation / site activities and methodologies
To assist the H&S advisor to ensure that safe systems of work are always employed on site to achieve “zero” accidents
Develop and maintain supplier relationships both internally and externally which support business growth objectives
To produce, issue and close out snagging lists and ensure completion by the sub-contractor in a timely manner, i.e., before pre-commissioning concludes
To mark up the mechanical drawings (including any existing or original drawings) with any modifications, check the drawings and ensure that these are transmitted back to the office and issued to the Documentation Department
To liaise directly with the nominated Lead Controls Design Engineer, the Client, and any Third-Party supplier for technical advice
Ensure M&E co-ordination and power supplies are complete in readiness for commissioning.
