Norfolk / Cambridge / Suffolk (Multi-site role)
Circa £65,000 – £70,000 + package
We are currently partnering with a leading Tier 1 M&E contractor who have secured a strong pipeline of major projects (£30m+) across East Anglia. As a result of continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to support delivery across multiple sites.
This is a multi-site position, likely split between projects in Norfolk, Cambridge and Suffolk, including involvement on a high-profile scheme near Sizewell.
The Role
As Electrical Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the on-site delivery of electrical packages, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You’ll play a key role in coordinating site teams and driving progress on large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities

Managing the day-to-day site delivery of electrical works on major projects

Supervising site teams, subcontractors, and specialist suppliers

Coordinating with project managers, main contractors, and consultants

Monitoring programme, progress, and installation quality

Ensuring strict health & safety compliance on site

Supporting testing, commissioning, and handover processes

Identifying and resolving on-site issues and risks
Requirements
-
Proven experience as an Electrical Construction Manager / Electrical Site Manager within M&E or Building Services

Background working on large-scale construction projects (desirable)

Experience with Tier 1 contractors or major M&E firms (highly desirable)

Strong understanding of electrical building services installations

Ability to manage multiple workstreams and fast-paced site environments

Excellent communication and leadership skills

About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established electrical contractor who is seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to oversee the delivery of commercial and industrial projects across East Anglia.
This is a key leadership position responsible for managing multiple electrical projects ranging from small works through to large-scale installations valued up to £5M. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery across a busy and growing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of multiple electrical projects across regional sites
- Manage and support site teams including supervisors, electricians, and subcontractors
- Ensure all works are delivered safely and in compliance with current regulations and company standards
- Monitor programme progress, productivity, and overall site performance
- Attend and lead client and site meetings as required
- Coordinate labour, materials, and subcontractor activities
- Maintain strong quality control across all installations
- Support commercial teams with reporting, variations, and project valuations
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and internal procedures
- Drive consistent standards and performance across all live projects
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in an Electrical Supervisor, Site Manager, or Electrical Manager role
- Strong background in commercial and/or industrial electrical installations
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and site delivery
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Strong awareness of health & safety and site compliance
- SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
- Full UK driving licence

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Heating and Ventilating

Relevant qualifications in F-Gas, Refrigeration, Mechanical, and Ductwork Systems

Knowledge of British Standards (BS EN) and CIBSE Guides

Experience with HVAC installations, fire dampers, and project management

Strong leadership, management, and organisational skills

Commercial awareness and understanding of JCT/NEC contracts

Confident using IT systems, including Word, Excel, and project software

Up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance

Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player

Full UK driving licence (minimum 6 months’ post-test experience)

Commitment to continuous improvement and professional standards
