An established and reputable family-run business, is seeking a skilled Electrical/MEP Estimator/Quantity Surveyor. This company is dedicated to quality and has a strong presence across various sectors including retail, hospitality, and leisure. Position Overview: The company is looking for an experienced Electrical/MEP Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in pricing commercial tenders and managing project costs from initial enquiry to final handover. This role is primarily based at the head office located in Swindon, with occasional travel to various sites across the UK, primarily in the southern region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate costs for new MEP enquiries, including obtaining supplier prices and preparing tender submissions, with a focus on electrical projects and occasional mechanical and plumbing aspects.
• Conduct site surveys and participate in tender interviews as needed.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure timely placement of material orders in line with tender specifications.
• Attend meetings with clients and their representatives, providing updates on contractual and financial matters throughout the project lifecycle.
• For larger projects, issue payment or pay-less notices in compliance with contractual requirements.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including the Fit-Out and Mechanical teams, particularly on joint M&E tenders.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing electrical or MEP commercial projects, with strong technical and commercial acumen.
• Ability to accurately estimate costs and timelines, with a proven ability to meet tender deadlines.
• Proficiency in computer use, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A general understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems.

Electrical/Service Engineer

Location: Ipswich Area
Salary: From £37,999.52 per year (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Contract: Full-time, subject to a three-month probation period

Overview:
A well-established and expanding company is looking for experienced Electrical and Service Engineers to join its team. This role involves electrical installations, maintenance, and fault diagnosis for pumping systems across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, servicing, and fault diagnosis of motors, pumps, control panels, and related electrical services for both clean and waste water systems.
• Perform electrical testing and certification of circuits, ensuring all work adheres to industry standards.
• Technical support for customers and staff, including hands-on fault finding and breakdown response.
• Provide electrical and mechanical support for installations in commercial and domestic environments.
• Site management of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
• Participate in weekend/evening emergency callouts on a rota with other engineers.
• Strong knowledge of BS7671 is essential, with additional experience in pipework installations and pumps being desirable.

Qualifications and Experience:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent AM2 certification.
• 18th Edition certification and ECS Card required.
• At least 2 years of experience in electrical engineering and pump maintenance.
• Proficiency in testing, inspection, and certification of electrical circuits.

Additional Information:

• Standard 39-hour work week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
• Overtime may be required.
• Occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
