Company & Project: Our client, a large and well-established civil engineering company working is looking for an experienced Site Agent / Supervisor to oversee the finishing on a solar project on the outskirts of Milton Keynes

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project (or a package), ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs
Liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public
Coordinating and supervising construction workers

Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
Knowledge of construction of associated water, waste water treatment and general utility infrastructure works
Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
Maintaining quality control procedures
Writing reports and keeping on top of paperwork
Understand the tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets – company financial reporting.

Desirable Experience & Skills:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a site agent on civils projects
CSCS card
1st Aid
SMSTS/SSSTS

Duties & Responsibilities of a Multi Skill Operative – Kitchen & Bathroom Fitter:

As the Kitchen & Bathroom Fitter you’ll be required to carry out reactive and planned maintenance works on void properties.
As the Kitchen & Bathroom Fitter you’ll be required to have good skills with carpentry and plumbing experience
As the Kitchen & Bathroom Fitter you’ll ideally have a good variety of skills – Must have experience and be able plumb (with solder joints) fit kitchens, tile and patch plaster.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Ceramic Wall Tiler to work for a local authority contractor within housing association domestic properties. The work will involve splash back tiling in kitchens and bathroom tiling working in Ipswich and the surrounding areas. Other trade skills including basic plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical, plastering and painting would also be most preferable alongside ceramic tiling trade.

Qualifications & Skills of the Tiler/Multi-trade:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience and competence in all aspects of domestic tiling
City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in relevant trade, or equivalent level of competence obtained from on-the-job experience
Previous experience of working in social housing would be advantageous
Full clean driving licence required

Our client, a well established family run maintenance contractor based in the South East is looking for experienced multi-trades for commercial maintenance and refurbishment works across London and the South East. The work is primarily for a large pub chain carrying out repairs and maintenance across their locations in London and the south.

Requirements-

– Experience in a multi-trade role.

– Skills in carpentry, painting and decorating, plastering, tiling, floor laying, bricklaying or roofing all an advantage.

– Good customer service skills as you will be attending pubs regularly in your designated area and discussing the works required to be carried out with the landlords.

Travel around London and the South East will be required. Travel time paid by agreement.

Hours of work are Monday – Friday mimumum 8 hours but there is no limit on overtime available including weeekends if desired.

Company van and fuel card when provided for small charge of £11 per day for business use only & need to be kept at home. Own van can be used.

Long term ongoing work available on self – employed basis.
