ARC are seeking 2 x Ground Workers with Confined Spaces tickets for a site in Ipswich, Suffolk.

The role is to commence on Thursday 23rd November and will be for a few days initially, but could go on longer.

Minimum Requirements:

– CSCS Card

– Confined Space Ticket

– PPE (Hard hat, High Vis, Steel Toe Cap)

Main Duties on site:

– Working in a chamber 3 meters deep

– Bucketing out rubble

– Putting drain rods up to see how far the pipes are under the road

– General Ground works on a new road going in

Hours:

– 9 Hours paid per day

– £20 – £21 per hour

– Payments made every Friday

– CIS Payments

ARC are seeking an experienced Tarmac & Reinstatement Operative to join a Civils team in Great Yarmouth.

The position will start Tuesday 21st or Wednesday 22nd November and role will be ongoing for the right person.

The chosen candidate must have experience working with Tarmac and Experience on civils projects working on roadworks.

Street works tickets preferred, however, this is not essential.

About the role:

– It is essential the chosen candidate is at the yard for 7 am to use the company vans during the working day.

This position will be paid £200 per day.

Salary: £29,000 -£30,000.00 per annum + extra o/t (CIS rates available, must have own van & tools)

Our client a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across the East is looking for an experienced Carpenters/Multi-trades to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract assisting in the reactive repairs in properties covering mainly Norwich area. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced carpenter who also holds skills property maintenance sector and other trades.

This is a mobile engineer role covering domestic maintenance works.

The successful individual will ideally hold a minimum level 2 NVQ or be time-served in carpentry whilst also being experienced in completing various other day to day repairs/maintenance tasks such as plumbing, plastering, tiling, roofing, painting and decorating etc. As a skilled multi- trade operative with relevant experience in responsive maintenance and voids works you will be required to undertake a variety of allocated works across your designated area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Management of day to day jobs allocated by a central team.

Updating PDA devices with key information and work schedules.

To ensure all assigned tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient standard.

Promoting the client’s corporate image and excellent service standard on every resident visit.

Making decisions upon specialist experience and knowledge.

Ensuring compliance at all times with necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities of repair work and contractor compliance.

Managing van stock effectively.

Taking part in out of hours on call system as required by the service.

Knowledge and Experience

Experience within a domestic maintenance environment.

Carpenter / Multi Trade experience

Excellent oral and written communication skills, telephone skills and interpersonal skills.

Excellent planning and organisational skills.

An understanding and ability to show excellent customer service skills.

Certificates and Qualifications

Trade City & Guilds/ NVQ qualification.

Asbestos Awareness Training. (ARC can provide free online training for this)

Full UK driving license & own van.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday 7.30-16.00 hrs (3pm finish on Fridays).

There is an on call rota which you will be asked to join after a qualifying period.

The role is offered on a temp-perm basis leading to a full time position with the company after 13 weeks as long as performance and standards are met.

Uniform will be issued with this role from day 1, overtime available after 39 hours per week. Must have own van and tools.
