Job Title: Administrator (Construction)

Company & Project: Our client, a well-established construction company are seeking an Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• General administration duties
• Assisting the Directors as and when required
• Management of tool hire
• Managing the recruitment process
• Monitoring monthly health and safety audit reports and creating and sending out an action plan
• Organising regular reviews of health and safety policy
• Organising annual management meetings
• Managing, compiling, and issuing of operational and maintenance health and safety manuals
• Creating Construction Phase Plans
• Site set ups
• Organising management meetings and keeping diaries up to date

Desirable Experience:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as an Administrator within the Construction Industry.
• Knowledge and experience of office procedures

Qualifications & Skills:

• Good IT skills
• Able to multitask
• Working knowledge of Microsoft programmes
• Organised
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Our client, a well-known contractor is currently looking for a Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

The company specialise in new build and refurbishment projects.

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):

• To deliver projects on time, on budget and to achieve, if not exceed responsibilities of the the project deliverables.
• To attend all project and company meetings distribute all necessary information to attendees prior to the meeting.
• To check and sign off work packages that have been prepared by the senior surveyor.
• To manage the contracts under your control.
• Ensure all processes are being adhered to on a project by project basis
• Survey sites to mitigate problems and check viability of design
• Ensure the product meets customer expectation in relation to build and finish
• Manage and coordinate sub-contract and direct labour workforces
• Provide labour costing for various projects to determine feasibility and profitability
• Customer relationship management to ensure customer satisfaction
• Supervise and coach staff as and when development is required
• Produce reports on job progress 

Desirable Experience:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working as a Project Manager on new build and refurbishment projects
• In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety and other regulatory matters
• Excellent analytical and decision making skills
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills
• IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

Company & Project:

Our client, a well-known contractor is currently looking for a Site Manager (major works) to join them on a permanent basis.

The company specialise in new build and refurbishment projects.

Duties & Responsibilities of a Site Manager:

• Assist in early procurement elements
• Carry out material take offs and requisition through buying
• Control and manage the subcontractors on site
• Assist in initial site set up and site mobilization
• Attend site progress meetings with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants
• Assist in the compilation of various reports as directed by the line manager
• Investigate determine cause of any near misses and or accidents and report findings with preventative measures.
• Accompany the safety department in carrying out on-site inspections and assist in any SHEQ audits.
• Manage the carrying out of monthly toolbox talks with subcontractors and team members
• To attend all project and company meetings in a professional manner ensuring that all reports, presentations, programmes, schedules and other supporting Information Is accurate to the time of reporting, compiled and distributed ahead of said meeting.

Skills required to work as a Site Manager:

• Be technically strong and knowledgeable and commercially aware
• Strong communication skills with good interpersonal and influencing skills
• Good ICT and presentation skills
• Must have good attention to detail
• Knowledge of business packages including diary formats, w/p, databases, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, design, desk top publishing and internet facilities.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications:

• Successful track record in delivering projects.
• Knowledge of differing forms of contract
• Success In delivering a variety of different construction types.
• Knowledge and experience in delivering a variety of project sizes
• Must have experience working for a Tier 1 or 2 contractor working on either NEC, Traditional build, D&B and bespoke contracts.
• Knowledge and experience of working in a multitude of different environments
