We have got a new exciting role with a large reputable social housing contractor providing maintenance repair services to thousands of properties across Peterborough & Lincolnshire, are recruiting for an experienced Multi-Traders to join their maintenance team on an ongoing basis carrying out essential planned & reactive Maintenance, installation and repair works to domestic properties. 

The work will mainly be in Peterborough and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities of a Multi-Trader:

• Work in a safe, professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all works are carried out with all due regard to the Health and Safety of all persons that may be affected by the works.
• Undertake the duties and responsibilities of the post and at all times ensuring compliance with our Health & Safety Policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Practices, COSHH Assessments and all relevant Health & Safety Regulations.
• Conduct yourself in a manner that will bring credit to yourself in all dealings with our customers and the public in general.
• Availability to work flexible working hours
• Any other duties including multi skilling works associated with your core trade. 

Desirable Experience of a Multi-Trader:

• Experience in maintenance and repair work in occupied residential properties as a plumber. 
• good skills in a variety of trades including plumbing, bathroom fitting, carpentry and basic painting, plastering and wall tiling etc
• Proven experience in all aspects of planned works and repairs and previous experience of working in social housing or tenanted properties.

Qualifications & Skills of a Multi-Trader:

• City & Guilds Level 2 or NVQ level 2 
• Proven ability to produce work consistently to a high standard
• Ability to complete relevant certification for Plumbing works self-motivated able to work on your own initiative
• Willingness or experience in using a handheld Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to complete work and maintain van stocks.
• Holder of a full current driving licence
• Proven interpersonal and technical skills.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service

Both self-employed (CIS) and PAYE options are available.

Salary: £250 per day

Company & Project: Our client, a large and well-established civil engineering company working is looking for an experienced Site Agent to oversee residential in Ely.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project (or a package), ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs
• Liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public

• Coordinating and supervising construction workers
• Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
• Knowledge of construction of associated water, waste water treatment and general utility infrastructure works
• Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
• Maintaining quality control procedures
• Writing reports and keeping on top of paperwork
• Understand the tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets – company financial reporting.

Desirable Experience & Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a site agent on civils projects
• CSCS black or gold
• 1st Aid
• Plant ticket (ideal but not essential)
• SMSTS/SSSTS
