Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Wolverhampton
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £35k-£47k (depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join our client that specialises in modular builds, to work on a permanent basis in Wolverhampton.
Duties & Responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor:
- Preparing tender and contract documents
- Reviewing & Understand Client amendments to contract & Client ERs
- Undertaking cost analysis for tender returns on the project & produce comparison.
- Assisting in establishing the client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
- Performing risk and value management and cost control.
- Identify Value Engineering, Savings, & Commercial opportunities
- Advising on procurement strategy, & responsible for timely procurement.
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks.
- Allocating work to subcontractors.
- Providing advice on contractual claims.
- Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports.
- Valuing completed work and arranging payments.
- Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
- Preparing a monthly cost report (AFR) including forecast & control of prelim costs
- Monthly sub-contract valuations
- Monthly client valuations & variations, assess, value, and agree.
- Managing and guiding sub-team members
Desirable Experience required to work as a Quantity Surveyor:
- Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience or 5 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Must have experience working for a main contractor or on modular builds.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
Qualifications & Skills required to work as a Quantity Surveyor:
- Educated to BSc surveying or equivalent.
