Duties & Responsibilities of a Multi Skill Maintenance Engineer:

• As the Multi Skill Maintenance Engineer you will be required to carry out general building maintenance requests from client staffing
• As the Multi Skill Maintenance Engineer you will be required repair or remove any furniture
• As the Multi Skill Maintenance Engineer you will be required to repair door locks and any key locks on desks
• As the Multi Skill Maintenance Engineer you will be required to repair or replace electrical works
• As the Multi Skill Maintenance Engineer you will be required to repair/replace set out adhoc duties required by client managers

Desirable Experience & Qualifications for the role of Multi Skill Maintenance Engineer:

• Experience working on commercial buildings
• Experience working with Planned Preventative Maintenance contracts
• Candidate MUST have a wide range of skills from Carpentry, electrical and ideally industrial knowledge

Duties & Responsibilities (including and not limited to):

• Monitor and report on progress, keeping accurate records and documentation of setting out activities.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment on-site.
• Liaise with subcontractors, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to coordinate setting out activities and ensure effective communication.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine site conditions and inform setting out activities.
• Ensure that quality control inspections to verify compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and tolerances.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years recent in a Setting Out Engineer role within the Construction Industry
• Ideally have experience working for a groundworks and civil engineering company.

A large social housing contractor who provide a repair and maintenance servoce on domestic properties, are looking for a responsive Plumber / Multi-Trader to join their team working in and around East Anglia, so would suit someone who ideally lives in or around Kings Lynn, Norwich or Peterborough. You will be working in the Repairs & Voids Team completing maintenance work as required by tenants, including carrying out essential reactive maintenance, installation and repair works on domestic properties, and any other duties including multi skilling works associated with your core trade.  This is a full-time ongoing role with the prospect of becoming permanent.

Job Role – Roofer / Multi-trade

Location – Norwich and surrounding areas

Pay Rate – £27,400.00-30,000.00 p/a(must have own work vehicle to start with)

Our client, a subcontractor who deliver high quality services to clients in the social housing and local authority sector are seeking roofers / multi-trades to join their maintenance team on an ongoing basis.

The work will mainly be in Norwich and the surrounding areas. Working hours are 08.00 – 16.00 Monday to Friday with 30min lunch break.

The role: Roofer/ Multi-Trader 

Working in void and occupied domestic properties mainly in and around the Norwich area. This will be carrying out external maintenance and repairs on interiors in in void and occupied properties while at the same time offering a high standard of customer service.

Role requirements –

In order to be considered for the role you must have good skills in a variety of trades including mainly roofing plus plumbing, carpentry and basic painting, plastering and tiling etc. 

– Asbestos Awareness & Manual Handling Certificates (we can provide access to free online courses)     

– Have own tools and transport

– Experience of facilities or housing maintenance (carpentry background) 

– Preferably have experience of working in social housing or tenanted properties.

– Full driving licence & van required.

Job description:      Carpenter/Multi-Trade

Our client, a property maintenance company working within the social housing sector, are looking for an experienced Carpenter / Multi-Trader to carry out domestic maintenance works on a social housing contract, which involves assisting in the reactive repairs and void operations in properties. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced carpenter who also holds skills in plumbing and other trades.

The successful individual will ideally hold a minimum level 2 NVQ or be time-served in carpentry whilst also being experienced in completing various other day-to-day repair and maintenance tasks such as plumbing, plastering tiling, painting and decorating etc.  You must have relevant experience in responsive maintenance and voids works, and will be required to undertake a variety of allocated works across your designated area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Management of day-to-day jobs allocated by a central team.
• Updating PDA devices with key information and work schedules.
• Ensuring all assigned tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient standard.
• Promoting the client’s corporate image and excellent service standard on every resident visit.
• Making decisions upon specialist experience and knowledge.
• Ensuring compliance at all times with necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities of repair work and contractor compliance.
• Managing van stock effectively.
• Taking part in out of hours on call system as required by the service.

Knowledge and Experience

• Experience within a domestic maintenance environment.
• Carpenter / Multi-Trade experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, telephone skills and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• An understanding and ability to show excellent customer service skills.

Certificates and Qualifications

• Trade City & Guilds/ NVQ qualification.

This is an ongoing contract, with the potential to lead to a full time position with the company after sucesful probation  Working hours will be Monday to Thursday 08:00am to 17.00pm, overtime available depending on demand.
