Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge? Our client, a residential developer is currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Lincoln.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Processing contractors’ claims & dealing with any issues that arise
• Code contractors’ invoices & time sheets for processing by Payroll & Accounts Department
• Preparation of tender documents for Labour Only and Bona Fide subcontracts; analysis of tenders & placing of orders following sign-off by a Director
• Contract management
• Taking off drawings & preparation of labour rates. Updating labour rates as required
• Ensuring that the necessary remediation statements/compliance certificates etc have been received
• Processing contractors’ claims & dealing with any issues that arise
• Obtaining quotations for investigation works and site preparation works, including the preparation of tender documents and the placing of orders following sign-off by a Director
• Liaise with the Engineering Manager as required in the contract management for all mains & service works, including processing payments, liaising with the Construction Department, and helping to ensure that mains and services are available when required

Desirable Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor working on residential projects
• Excellent technical knowledge, and proven experience in a similar role
• Excellent organisational, oral and written skills
• Good negotiation skills

Qualifications & Skills:

• Commercially aware and ability to add value
• Good IT skills
• Hardworking, reliable and have a very positive attitude
• Clean driving licence
• Attention to detail

Job Title –  Painter and Decorator

Location – Various across London City and South East

Pay Rate – £17-18 per hour + van an fuel card.

Our client a friendly property maintenance contractor is recruiting for painters to work on commercial maintenance projects for a large pub chain across London and the South East. The suitable canddiate will ideally have the following 

– Min NVQ 2 in Painting and Decorating

– Experience as a professional painting contractor

– Own tools and whites

– Full Driving licence

Long term temp-perm position available. Min 40 hours per week and addtional overtime always available. Van and fuel card provided. Must be prepared to travel to sites within and outside the M25.

Job Role – Carpenter / Multi-trade

Location – Norwich and surrounding areas

Pay Rate – £160 per day (must have own work vehicle)

Our client, a subcontractor who deliver high quality services to clients in the social housing and local authority sector are seeking carpenter / multi-trades to join their maintenance team on an ongoing basis.

The work will mainly be in Norwich and the surrounding areas. Working hours are 08.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday with 30min lunch break.

The role: Carpenter / Multi-Trader 

Working in void and occupied domestic properties mainly in and around the Norwich area. This will be carrying out maintenance and repairs in kitchens, bathrooms and interiors in void and occupied properties while at the same time offering a high standard of customer service.

Role requirements –

In order to be considered for the role you must have good skills in a variety of trades including carpentry and basic painting, plastering and tiling etc. 

– Asbestos Awareness & Manual Handling Certificates (we can provide access to free online courses)     

– Have own tools and transport

– Experience of facilities or housing maintenance (carpentry background) 

– Preferably have experience of working in social housing or tenanted properties.

– Full driving licence & van required. 

Both self-employed and PAYE options are available. In return the client can offer competitive pay rates, paid mileage as well as ongoing work.

Overtime and weekend work available if desired. Longer hours available depending on demand.

Job Title – Carpenter / Multi-trade

Location – North London 

Pay rate – £19-20 per hour + company vehicle & fuel card provided 

Our client, a well established family run maintenance contractor based in the South East is looking for experienced multi-trades for commercial maintenance and refurbishment works across North London area.  The work is primarily for a large pub chain carrying out repairs and maintenance across their locations in London and the north area mainly.

Requirements-

– Experience in a multi-trade role.

– Skills in carpentry, painting and decorating, plastering, tiling, floor laying, bricklaying or roofing all an advantage.

– Good customer service skills as you will be attending pubs regularly in your designated area and discussing the works required to be carried out with the landlords. 

Travel around London and the South East will be required. Travel time paid by agreement. 

Hours of work are Monday – Friday mimumum 8 hours but there is no limit on overtime available including weeekends if desired. 

Company van and fuel card can be provided which can be kept at home. 

Long term ongoing work available on a or self – employed basis.  

Immediate start available.
