Our client, a well-established family run maintenance contractor is looking for an experienced multi-trade for commercial maintenance and refurbishment works across Brighton and the South Coast. The work is primarily for a large pub chain carrying out repairs and maintenance across their locations.

Requirements-

– Experience in a multi-trade role.

– Skills in carpentry, painting and decorating, plastering, tiling, floor laying, bricklaying or roofing all an advantage.

– Good customer service skills.

Travel around Brighton and the South Coast will be required. Travel time paid by agreement.

Our client is looking for Multi Trade Operatives with Plumbing experience to work on Reactive & Void properties around the Broadland area. You will be required to ensure planned works, responsive and void repairs are carried out efficiently and effectively with high quality service. This is a temporary to permanent contract.

Duties & Responsibilities of a Multi Skill Operative:

As the Multi Skill Operative you’ll be responsible for delivery of repairs and maintenance works within void and responsive repair service.
As the Multi Skill Operative you’ll complete allocated works which will fall within operative’s trade / skill set but could range from carpentry, plumbing, groundworks, painting/decorating, external works, tiling, plastering etc
As the Multi Skill Operative you’ll ensure that the work is undertaken in a timely manner consistent with prescribed performance indicators advised.
As the Multi Skilled Operative you’ll deal with tenant enquiries and respond in a professional manner reporting anything back to the relevant manager.
As the Multi Skilled Operative you’ll be required to comply with the policies and practices of the Association, to deliver and act in accordance with the Dignity & Diversity Policy and to be responsible for undertaking working practices in a safe manner in accordance with the Association’s Health and Safety Policy.
As the Multi Skilled Operative you’ll work closely with the Local Delivery Manager, Local Delivery Team Leader & the Senior Operative (if applicable) in all aspects of the repairs and maintenance service as required.
As the Multi Skilled Operative you’ll need to refer complex technical queries to the relevant manager in the Technical Services team.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications for the role of Multi Skill Operative:

Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ level two or appropriate trade experience within at least 2 different trades
Plumbing experience in essential
Good written and spoken communication
Experience working on property maintenance & social housing
Experience working directly with customers

Pay Rate – £16.00-17.00 per hour (day rate of £160.00 p/d available if using own work vehicle)

Our client, a subcontractor who deliver high quality services to clients in the social housing and local authority sector, are seeking a Carpenter / Multi-Trades to join their maintenance team on an ongoing basis. The work will mainly be in Kings Lynn and the surrounding areas. Working hours are 08.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday with 30min lunch break. The role will involve working in void and occupied domestic properties mainly in and around the King’s Lynn area. This will be carrying out maintenance and repairs in kitchens, bathrooms and interiors in void and occupied properties while at the same time offering a high standard of customer service.

Role requirements –

In order to be considered for the role you must have good skills in a variety of trades including carpentry and basic painting, plastering and tiling etc.

– Asbestos Awareness & Manual Handling Certificates (we can provide access to free online courses)

– Have own tools and transport ( van can be arranged)

– Experience of facilities or housing maintenance (carpentry background)

– Preferably have experience of working in social housing or tenanted properties.

– Full driving licence & transport required.

Both self-employed and PAYE options are available. In return the client can offer competitive pay rates, paid mileage as well as ongoing work.
