Job Title: General Foreman

Our client, a market leading civils contractor are looking for a General Foreman to work on a project in Hampshire.
Main projects will consist of roundabouts, bridges, car parks, pumping stations and infrastructure works.
Duties & Responsibilities of a General Foreman:
- To control all operations on site to ensure they are carried out efficiently, safely and to the required standards.
- To provide supervision of the works and control of a team comprising Foremen, Gangers and direct labour force.
- Supervision and control of the works of Subcontractors.
- Inputting into the production of Work Package Plans and Risk Assessments
- Identifying future requirements for setting out and communicate to Engineering team
- Input into weekly programme and monitor progress against KPI’s
- Carry out Independent Inspections of their own section and of others
Desirable Experience required to work as a General Foreman:
- You must have over 5 year’s civil engineering experience in a supervisory role.
Qualifications & Skills required to work as a General Foreman:
- Able to produce daily records via diary/allocation sheets.
- Able to read/understand drawings and specifications.
- Able to understand tender plant/labour allocations and outputs
- CSCS Gold Card Holder SMSTS
- NRSWA Supervisor Confined Spaces Training First Aid
- Temporary Works Supervisor Lift Supervisor
- Management of Confined Space IOSH Buried Services
- Being a team player is essential to the role.
