Main Duties Include, But Not Limited To:

• Input into bid submissions and quotations
• To lead and manage safe execution of projects from start to finish.
• Plan, structure and lead the planning of project programmes.
• Procurement of Sub Contractor, Materials, Plant, Labour
• Experience in leading design from tender to construction
• Engage with Key Project Stakeholders

Key Requirements:

• Undertake commercial and industrial electrical installations and also Electrical Vehicle charger installations
• Be competent in the installation of SWA and PVC singles
• Be competent in the installation of tray and basket work
• Complete testing and inspection of works where required
• Liaise with customer personnel to maintain good working relationships
• Keep the project management team up to date on a regular basis using our Simpro Software and report any problem areas that arise.

Key Requirements:

• Commercial and domestic experience desirable
• Full and clean driving license held for 12 months

• EV installations are desirable, but training can be given as needed.
• An understanding of H&S in the workplace

• Review of the Scope, Vetting RAMS Documents where required.
• Managing Sub Contractors to maintain programme targets
• Managing materials, ensure deliveries are complete and on site for the tasks in hand
• Ensure the specification, drawings and schedules are followed
• Manage all Health and Safety on site to include Toolbox Talks
• Assist with Commissioning and Handover
• Report on site progress to PM and undertake daily activities briefings to ensure programme is met.
• Ensure site rules are observed by employees and its sub-contractors
• To assist the Company with Process / Quality Improvements; to continuously improve installation / site activities and methodologies
• Experience of commercial work preferred.

• Ability to estimate smaller projects
• Risk management

Key Requirements:

• Working for a Building Services Contractor at a similar level.
• Experience of managing project values between £500K and £2M (M&E) (desirable)
• Consistently good financial returns on projects, taking into account all relevant factors.
• The ability to plan ahead, co-ordinate and prioritise workloads.
• Time Served Apprentice or relevant mechanical qualifications.
• Knowledge of systems to engineered and managed are LTHW, H&CWS, ductwork, BMS, air conditioning, specialist gases and above ground drainage.

Junior Mechanical Estimator

ARC are recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Estimator for our client based in Cambridge. The successful candidate would ideally come from M&E contractor background so they have a good understanding of the business.

Main Duties include, but not limited to:

• Preparation of material take offs and liaison with subcontractors to quantify requirements of a tender.
• An ability to understand, scrutinize and verify supplier and subcontractor quotations for compliancy.
• Ensure tenders are prepared to a high standard and meet the client’s deadlines.
• Liaising with other members of the estimating team and contracts managers.
• Develop working relationships with design consultants, main contractors and clients to establish communication paths.

 Qualifications & Experience

• Ability to produce detailed cost plans where a degree of design expertise is required.
