Based in Lakenheath, however flexible on locations.

Arc Group are currently recruiting a quantity surveyor to support project works based from one of our clients UK office locations. The successful candidate will be reporting to the commercial manager for facilities services, the quantity surveyor will be part of the commercial team providing support to the division.

Main activity is focused on supporting the facilities business unit for projects ranging in value from approximately £50k – £2M. You will be supporting project managers across the business for M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) projects including building fabric.

Main duties include, but not limited to:

Work alongside various project managers, carrying out the quantity surveying function on multiple M&E projects, including building fabric
Provide support and expertise to operational teams and ensure compliance with governance is followed in respect to various forms of contract including JCT, NEC and bespoke
Working with finance teams to set up formal reporting processes for projects
Support the procurement of the supply chain and take responsibility for the management of the on-going supply chain
Support the development of associated commercial processes and procedures and the briefing of these to the operational team
Managing change requests from the client and compile re-pricing of the project as required
Compile cost value reconciliation for each project
Providing expertise to the business development team to support the development of work winning opportunities
Conduct site visits for progress meetings and valuations

Key Requirements:

Strong stakeholder management skills
BSc quantity surveying or construction related degree
Relevant quantity surveying or construction experience in a similar role, preference from a maintenance and service background
Experience within a facilities business, M&E contractor/sub-contractor or facilities management contractor (Desirable)
MRICS or similar commercial qualification (Desirable)
CDM awareness (Desirable)

The chosen operator will be working on an 8T Machine.
