Job Title: Site Agent

Salary: £22 – £28 per hour PAYE +  Company Van

Company & Project: Our client, a large and well-established civil engineering company working is looking for an experienced Site Agent to oversee residential.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project (or a package), ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs
• Liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public

• Coordinating and supervising construction workers
• Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
• Knowledge of construction of associated water, waste water treatment and general utility infrastructure works
• Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
• Maintaining quality control procedures
• Writing reports and keeping on top of paperwork
• Understand the tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets – company financial reporting.

Desirable Experience & Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a site agent on groundworks projects
• CSCS black or gold
• 1st Aid
• Plant ticket (ideal but not essential)
• SMSTS/SSSTS

Job Title: Working Foreman on pub refurbishment 

Salary – £40-45,000 per annum

Job Type:  Permanent / Temp-Perm                 

Location: London 

Company & Project:

Our client are a friendly family run property maintenance company responsible for the maintenance and refurbishment projects for a large pub chain across London. The type of work that will be carried out ranges from fitting doors to full refits and refurbishments of commercial premises. 

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Supervise, co-ordinate and monitor sub-contractor’s working on site
• Proven track record in successfully delivering projects to a high standard
• Withstand an intense, high pressure environment delivering projects to strict deadlines
• You would be responsible for fit out trades onsite, delivering a high specification finish, on time and on budget.
• Maintain a tidy, safe, and efficient site at all times
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications building regulations and good building practice
• Attending progress meetings with clients and management.
• Be prepared to go on the tools if and when required 

Desirable Experience:

• Appropriate construction qualifications or time served
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Well organised and have the ability to multi task
• Ability to work well using initiative, problem solving when required
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Health & Safety qualified

Our client is a market leading award winning high volume house builder, developing large sites often with over 100 units. They are looking for a site manager, with a demonstrated history of working on traditional residential projects, to help oversee a new development West of Cambridge

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily on-site operations
• Coordinate employee schedules, ensuring adequate coverage
• Enforce all workplace policies and procedures
• Coordinate training and professional development activities for employees
• Maintain and adhere to departmental budget
• Approve project plans
• Address and report safety concerns in a timely manner
• Track and monitors project progress, adhering to prearranged standards
• Ensure compliance across the work site
• Review all project contracts before submitting to management
• Manage sub-contractors to ensure all deadlines are met

Desirable Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience on residential projects as a site manager
• Strong communication skills with good interpersonal and influencing skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (MS Word, Excel) etc.
• SMSTS and First Aid as a minimum
