Duties & Responsibilities:

To assist with the negotiation of sub-contract orders
Preparing sub-contract order requisitions
Be able to accommodate site visits as required.
Provide feedback on commercial matters to management
Other commercial administration activities as may be required from time to time
Maintaining sub-contract payment/charges registers
Carrying out of weekly sub-contract payments
Producing weekly cost and value reports
Managing centralised cost allocation system
Be pro-active in developing new systems to meet changing operational needs.

Desirable Experience:

Relevant experience working as a Quantity Surveyor/ Senior Quantity Surveyor
Experienced with residential projects

Qualifications & Skills:

Degree qualified
A creative and innovative approach to problem solving
Strong numeracy and financial management skills
The ability to learn sophisticated design and costing IT packages
The ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people
Negotiation and team work skills
The ability to motivate and lead those on site
A detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters.

The role will commence on Monday 14th February, the chosen candidate will be working with a well established sub – contractor.

This position is long term with further work on other sites around Northamptonshire available.

Ground Works – Drainage, Pipe Laying, Duct Work, Finishing Work

ARC are seeking an experienced Skilled Labourer on behalf of our client, a well-known signage contractor across the UK.

We are seeking a skilled labourer to assist with putting up signage on a site in Preston, the candidate will be required to work independantly so ideally someone who has experience in putting signage onto hoarding boards.

We require a skilled labourer to start on Monday 14th February.

Daily Responsibilities for a successful labourer would include:

– Drilling signage onto Hoarding Boards.

– Assisting with the deliveries coming on and off the site.

– Helping the trades people around the site.

– Working closely with the site management team.

Requirements for the role:

– A valid CSCS Card

– Full PPE (Hard hat, Boots, Highvis, Gloves and Glasses)

– Experience labouring / applying signage on a building site

This labouring contract is Monday – Friday with the working hours of 07:30 – 16:30 Monday to Friday.

There may be some weekend work available.

Hourly Rate :

– £8.90 per hour – PAYE

– £13- £14 per hour – Hybrid

Are you an experienced Setting Out Engineer, seeking a new role? We have a fantastic opportunity available working with a client of ours.

Duties & Responsibilities (including and not limited to):

Provide a regular on-site presence during large scale works.
Liaise with Works Supervisors at the earliest opportunity to notify of significant or potentially disruptive works/incidents to prevent or reduce enquiries and/or complaints.
To review and record compliance with Health and Safety on site.
To record findings and update Highway Manager of breaches of Risk Assessments and Safe Working Practices
Resolving any unexpected technical problems
Work alongside Highway Team Members to resolve on site issues, liaising with Design Engineers.
To Provide Setting Out as per construction drawings for on-site delivery, liaising with Design Engineers.
Support the management of team members through the application of appropriate HR policies including Health and Safety, Capability and Performance reporting.
Ensure compliance with and continuous updating of documentation in accordance with CDM Regulations

Desirable Experience & Qualifications:

Must have highways experience working as a Setting out Engineer
