About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an aspiring Civils Site Manager to take ownership of civil engineering works on a large industrial development based in Ipswich.
This role is ideal for an experienced Assistant Site Manager or Site / Civils Engineer ready to step up and manage the full delivery of civil packages including Section 278 highways, earthworks, drainage, foundations, and utilities. You’ll play a key part in delivering a high-profile project from concept to completion, supported by an experienced project team.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all civil engineering works from pre-construction to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and programme delivery.

Oversee Section 278 highway works and coordinate adoption with local authorities.

Supervise earthworks, drainage, and foundation operations to technical specifications.

Lead coordination of all utilities (electricity, water, gas, telecoms) from design to connection.

Identify and implement value engineering and design improvements.

Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site resources effectively.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Maintain accurate site documentation including QA, ITPs, and as-built records.
About You

Strong understanding of Section 278 works, drainage, and utility coordination.

Ability to interpret design drawings and suggest practical, cost-effective solutions.

Confident communicator with strong leadership and organisational skills.

Proactive, commercially aware, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications

HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred)

First Aid at Work

Full UK Driving Licence
