ARC Group are recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to work alongside both office-based team and visiting on-site teams when required. The role offers a high level of responsibility, and the opportunity to progress with the company as it grows from strength to strength.

The role of the Contracts Manager will be to oversee the project construction phase and thus the delivery of the company’s projects in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner. As Contacts Manager, you will be expected to liaise with Site Managers and Clients with regards to programming works, and therefore should have experience in this.

Main Duties Include, But Not Limited To:

• Oversight of companies multiple ongoing development projects.
• Experience in using Excel, CAD, Cable calculation and Test certificate systems.
• Develop a close relationship with the site teams and a detailed knowledge of your allocated sites by maintaining a visible site presence.
• On-Site meetings with clients, site managers and engineers.
• Material procurement  
• Contract management and dispute resolution.
• Assistance with the procurement of sub-contractors.
• Attend relevant project design, pre-start, specification, other relevant meetings as required.
• Support the site teams to running a successful development project.

Key Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience in a similar role within commercial sector.
• Previous onsite experience.
• A strong knowledge and appreciation of UK building and Electrical regulations
• Experience managing both internal teams and external clients in a commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge and experience of relevant IT systems and experience with MS Office – strong excel skills essential as this is our preferred method of analysis / budget tracking.

Our client specialises in commercial and residential builds and is currently looking for an Assistant Buyer to join their team in Lowestoft.

Duties & Responsibilities of an Assistant Buyer (including and not limited to):

• Assist with processing orders from site requisitions
• Fill in and dispatch copy orders to relevant sites
• Fill in site requisitions after processing
• As an Assistant Buyer you will assist with general enquires from Site regarding materials
• Deal with telephone calls to/from suppliers
• Issue drawings to various suppliers for quotations
• Assist with requesting quotations from suppliers for sites in order to obtain best price
• Fill in general mail in Buying department
• Assist with invoice and order queries
• Carry out the occasional site visit
• As an Assistant Buyer you will assist with weekly reports, which include plant on hire and replacement orders
• Assist with compiling monthly reports, which include replacement orders, waste reports, bulk order costs and materials on site
• Raise office and Sales and Marketing orders
• Rebate Administrative ticking processes where appropriate
• Customer Care orders/trackers

Desirable Experience of an Assistant Buyer:

• Experience of working in an Assistant Buyer role
• Basic understanding of budgets and ability to prove basic financial control
• A good standard of written English
• Ability to generate professional correspondence unaided
• Self–disciplined, with demonstrably good time management skills and the ability to manage a number of priorities

Qualifications & Skills required for an Assistant Buyer:

• Ability to multi-task, and work efficiently and accurately under pressure
• Team player and supportive of colleagues
• Professional and pleasant manner in dealing with internal and external customers and excellent telephone skills
• Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with MS Office and Excel programs

Main Duties Include, But Not Limited To;

• You will be the Companies representative on site supervising and overseeing the works
• As the Mechanical Supervisor, You will coordinate and supervise the mechanical team to deliver on time and on budget.
• You will scope work on-site and assess the work required.
• You will supervise the site schedule of site teams.
• You will conduct toolbox talks and work with the QHSE Manager to ensure health and safety on site.

Key Requirements For The Role:

• As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will have either SMSTS or SSSTS.
