Company & Project:

Our client, a residential developer are looking for a Managing Buyer to join their team in Ipswich.

Duties & Responsibilities of a Managing Buyer (including and not limited to):

• You will liaise with the commercial team on the cost and lead time of materials and work with your colleagues on site / projects with regards to the lead time of materials and the timing of deliveries.
• Maintain the company-based procurement system and checking and approving of relevant invoices.
• Raising purchase orders and reconciling all invoices prior to authorising payment.
• Producing costing reports for our estimating team after negotiating  prices, rates and terms for continued improvement of discount structures.
• Organising bulk purchase with suppliers to ensure an additional saving.
• Purchasing materials, scheduling and preparing procurement information and associated reports.
• Site visits, co-ordinating, sourcing and purchasing clients specific bespoke requirements.
• Daily contact with Managers regarding site requirements and scheduling of deliveries.
• Make sure staff follow purchasing procedures correctly. 

Desirable Experience required to work as a Managing Buyer:

• Experience working as a Managing Buyer within the Construction Industry.

Qualifications & Skills required to work as a Managing Buyer:

• Strong budgeting abilities.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Able to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Negotiation skills.
• Analytical thinking skills.
• Computer/IT literate including experience of using MS Excel.

Mechanical Project Manager

Duxford, Cambridge

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (40 hrs a week)

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000per annum (+ £5k car allowance + benefits)

ARC Group are recruiting for a project manager who will ideally have a background in the mechanical/building industry and significant experience of project supervision and management roles. This is an office based role, but will require frequent travel to attend sites across the region to attend meetings, surveys & inspections etc. 

Main Duties Include, But Not Limited To;

• Liaison/meetings with clients, supply chain, delivery teams and management.
• Health & Safety management with support from QHSE manager
• Attending internal CVR/progress meetings
• Financial management of projects, including procurement and assisting with costings.
• Specification and ordering of materials.
• Preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
• Management and briefing of installation personnel.
• Resolving installation and access issues.
• Completion and submission of as-installed documentation.
• Programme and project planning

ARC Group are recruiting for a qualified plumber for our defence projects based in Ipswich. You will be required to have experience in Installation of radiators, surface mounted copper pipe work, combi boilers Solid understanding of H&S and safe working practices.

Main Duties Include, But Not Limited To:

• Working primarily on Heating and plumbing system upgrades
• Stripping out existing heating & hot water systems, installing new complete systems including Radiators, valves, pipework controls, and all other associated elements in an efficient, safe manner and in accordance with company Health and Safety policy, Safe Systems of Work and current regulations.

Key Requirements:

• A trade background with experience in plumbing, heating, and HVAC maintenance services
• Industry-recognized qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or formal apprenticeship)
• Experience in Installation of radiators, surface mounted copper pipe work, combi boilers Solid understanding of H&S and safe working practices
