Duties & Responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor:

• Oversee daily on-site operations
• Coordinate employee schedules, ensuring adequate coverage
• Enforce all workplace policies and procedures
• Coordinate training and professional development activities for employees
• Maintain and adhere to departmental budget
• Approve project plans
• Address and report safety concerns in a timely manner
• Track and monitors project progress, adhering to prearranged standards
• Ensure compliance across the work site
• Review all project contracts before submitting to management
• Manage sub-contractors to ensure all deadlines are met

Desirable Experience required to work as a Quantity Surveyor:

• Strong communication skills with good interpersonal and influencing skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (MS Word, Excel) etc

Qualifications & Skills required to work as a Quantity Surveyor:

• Degree qualified
• A creative and innovative approach to problem solving
• Strong numeracy and financial management skills
• The ability to learn sophisticated design and costing IT packages
• The ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people
• Negotiation and team work skills
• The ability to motivate and lead those on site
• A detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters.

Plymouth

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours a week

ARC Group are recruiting for a qualified plumber for our defence projects based in Plymouth. You will be required to have experience in Installation of radiators, surface mounted copper pipe work, combi boilers Solid understanding of H&S and safe working practices.

Main Duties Include, But Not Limited To:

• Working primarily on Heating and plumbing system upgrades
• Stripping out existing heating & hot water systems, installing new complete systems including Radiators, valves, pipework controls, and all other associated elements in an efficient, safe manner and in accordance with company Health and Safety policy, Safe Systems of Work and current regulations.

Key Requirements:

• A trade background with experience in plumbing, heating, and HVAC maintenance services
• Industry-recognized qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or formal apprenticeship)
• Experience in Installation of radiators, surface mounted copper pipe work, combi boilers Solid understanding of H&S and safe working practices

We have an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic developer with that is well known in the construction industry. 

 Duties & Responsibilities of an Assistant Site Manager:

• Be responsible for the completion and overall success of the site supported by the Site Manager
• To work on the project from plastering to completion
• Managing sub-contractors
• Ensuring deadlines and programmes of work are adhered to
• Ensure quality and accuracy of all internal finishes
• Ensure health and safety polices are followed on site
• Creating snagging lists and ensure all sub-contractors are completing on time
• Building good working relationships with other staff and departments

Desirable Experience required for an Assistant Site Manager:

• Previous experience in assisting in residential projects
• Ability to lead and encourage others to work in the best interest of the project

• SMSTS
• CSCS

Electrician

Salary: £40,000- £50,000per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 

ARC Group are recruiting for experienced electricians to join a fast growing electrical contractor based in Peterborough. Our client prides themselves in consistently delivering an excellent, trusted & professional services to each and every client. 

Main Duties Include, But Not Limited To:

• Undertake commercial and industrial electrical installations and also Electrical Vehicle charger installations
• Be competent in the installation of SWA and PVC singles
• Be competent in the installation of tray and basket work
• Complete testing and inspection of works where required
• Liaise with customer personnel to maintain good working relationships
• Keep the project management team up to date on a regular basis using our Simpro Software and report any problem areas that arise.

Key Requirements:

• Commercial and domestic experience desirable
• Full and clean driving license held for 12 months
• 18th Edition Qualified
• EV installations are desirable, but training can be given as needed.
• An understanding of H&S in the workplace
• Be able to work on your own or as part of a team
• Be able to present yourself in a manner that represents the company
• Be willing to travel and stay away from time to time
• A valid and up to date ECS card is required.
