Job Title: Domestic Electrician

Location: Norwich, Great Yarmouth and surrounding areas

Hourly Rate: £16.78 per hour

Our client, a privately owned family business offering a comprehensive electrical and mechanical design, installation and maintenance service across many sectors with an unrivaled reputation within the building services sector, are seeking a qualified Domestic Electrician to deal with heating installation works including wiring up combi and sysetm boilers in Norwich, Great Yarmouth and the surrounding areas. 

Previous experience working in Social Housing is useful but not essential. You will be covering Domestic heating installations, Upgrades and rewires. You will attend regular tool box talks and work with the QHSE Manager to ensure health and safety is compliant at all time.

You will need:-

• a CSCS card  

• a good basic understanding of site-based H&S.

• 18th Edition essential

• NVQ Level 3

• AM2

• Valid Asbestos Awareness

• Working At Height or PASMA

• Manual Handling

• Driving license. 

The client offers a structured route for progression, with continued support and training. company van, fuel card and main items of plant supplied, 21 days annual leave plus bank holidays, competitive rates of pay. Working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm.

Duties & Responsibilities (including and not limited to):

• To assist with the negotiation of sub-contract orders
• Deliver subcontract procurement
• Checking and authorising Subcontract Orders and Payments
• To assist the Quantity Surveyor as and when required
• Assist in the production of timely CVCs
• Preparing sub-contract order requisitions
• Be able to accommodate site visits as required
• Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks during project delivery

Desirable Experience:

• Relevant experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in social housing 
• Residential experience preferred

Job description: Multi Trade – Void Works 

Location: Lincoln and surrounding areas

Salary: £33,000 – £34,000 Overtime + company van + fuel card. (Self-Employed options also available)

Our client – a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across Lincolnshire is looking for an experienced multi trade to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract assisting in the void operations and planned maintenance in properties across the Grantham and Lincoln region. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced carpenter multi-trade.
 
The successful individual will ideally be experienced in completing various day to day repairs/maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting and decorating etc. As a skilled multi- trade operative with relevant experience in planned maintenance and voids works you will be required to undertake a variety of allocated works across the area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Management of day to day jobs allocated by a central team
• To ensure all assigned tasks are carried out to a safe and efficient standard.
• Promoting the client’s corporate image and excellent service standard
• Making decisions upon specialist experience and knowledge.
• Ensuring compliance at all times with necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities of repair work and contractor compliance.
• Managing van stock effectively.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Experience within a domestic maintenance environment.
• Carpenter / Multi Trade experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, telephone skills and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• An understanding and ability to show excellent customer service skills.

Certificates and Qualifications

• Trade City & Guilds/ NVQ qualification (Preferred)
• Asbestos Awareness Training. (ARC can provide free online certification for this)
• Full UK driving license.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday 8-5pm 

Self-employed options available. The PAYE Salary is up to £34,000 and the rate will be dependent on the preferred method of payment

• Planning to make sure the projects completed are profitable.
• Attending meetings with Principal Contractors, Consultants and Architects.

• Ability to estimate smaller projects
