Job description: Multi Trade – Void Works 

Location: Lincoln and surrounding areas

Salary: £33,000 – £34,000 Overtime + company van + fuel card. (Self-Employed options also available)

Our client – a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across Lincolnshire is looking for an experienced multi trade to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract assisting in the void operations and planned maintenance in properties across the Grantham and Lincoln region. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced carpenter multi-trade.
 
The successful individual will ideally be experienced in completing various day to day repairs/maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting and decorating etc. As a skilled multi- trade operative with relevant experience in planned maintenance and voids works you will be required to undertake a variety of allocated works across the area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Management of day to day jobs allocated by a central team
• To ensure all assigned tasks are carried out to a safe and efficient standard.
• Promoting the client’s corporate image and excellent service standard
• Making decisions upon specialist experience and knowledge.
• Ensuring compliance at all times with necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities of repair work and contractor compliance.
• Managing van stock effectively.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Experience within a domestic maintenance environment.
• Carpenter / Multi Trade experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, telephone skills and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• An understanding and ability to show excellent customer service skills.

Certificates and Qualifications

• Trade City & Guilds/ NVQ qualification (Preferred)
• Asbestos Awareness Training. (ARC can provide free online certification for this)
• Full UK driving license.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday 8-5pm 

Self-employed options available. The PAYE Salary is up to £34,000 and the rate will be dependent on the preferred method of payment

A van and fuel card will be issued with this role or full mileage paid. Unlimited overtime available and call out / stand by payments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily on-site operations
• Coordinate employee schedules, ensuring adequate coverage
• Enforce all workplace policies and procedures

• Maintain and adhere to departmental budget
• Approve project plans

Our client a large reputable social housing contractor providing maintenance and repair services to thousands of properties across the East is seeking a business support co-ordinator to join their team.

The role will primarily involve answering calls from tenants and live chat online and dealing with the enquiries accordingly. Applicants with strong experience in a customer services or call centre role would be welcomed. 

Main responsibilities of the role –

1. Receive works orders from customers via the telephone/email or any social platform (live chat/my account)
2. Identify repair works to be carried out against the scope of service.
3. Understanding priorities and diagnosis of jobs, to allow for efficiency.
4. Receive works orders from Repairs and Voids Managers in relation to void properties.
5. Enter and configure data using the software system and other company standard software packages including responsive and voids works
6. Confidence to respectfully challenge as appropriate to effectively carry out your role
7. Refer immediately upwards any item that cannot be completed satisfactorily within your responsibility.
8. Work to the priorities, deadlines and performance targets set by management; personally contribute to the achievement of the high-performance levels set
