Are you a Trainee Quantity Surveyor looking to develop your career with an excellent developer? Our client is looking for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to assist them on a residential project.

Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):

• To assist with the negotiation of sub-contract orders
• General administrator duties
• Managing drawing registers
• Preparing sub-contract order requisitions
• Be able to accommodate site visits as required
• Provide feedback on commercial matters to management
• Other commercial administration activities as may be required from time to time
• Maintaining sub-contract payment/charges registers
• Carrying out of weekly sub-contract payments
• Producing weekly cost and value reports
• Managing centralised cost allocation system
• Be pro-active in developing new systems to meet changing operational needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree qualified (advantage)
• A creative and innovative approach to problem solving
• Strong numeracy and financial management skills
• The ability to learn sophisticated design and costing IT packages
• The ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate complex information in a simple way to a diverse range of people
• Negotiation and team work skills
• The ability to motivate and lead those on site
• A detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, processes, materials, business and legal matters.

Job Title: Land Estimator

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Bury St Edmunds

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £55,000K – £80000K (depending on experience)

Company & Project:

Our client, a residential developer is looking for a Land Estimator who will be responsible for managing the Land Estimation process.

Duties & Responsibilities (including and not limited to):

• Prepare land cost appraisals and estimate costs for new land opportunities
• Ability to create and present an overview of land cost appraisals to the Land Director prior to bid submissions
• Ability to understand and analyse technical and planning documentation to inform land of appraisals.

Desirable Experience:

• Ideally come from a civils/ infrastructure background
• Must have relevant experience working as an estimator
• COINS experience beneficial but not essential
• Good knowledge of the company’s operational area being Norwich, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire preferred.
• At least 5-10 years’ experience working within the construction industry

ARC are seeking experienced labourers for work on a site in Exeter for a temp to perm position.

The chosen labourers will be working for a well established sub-contractor.

The role is to commence as soon possible.

One permanent the salary is £20,000- £23,000 plus annual bonus.

The job includes perm perks: 20 days annual leave plus BHs, Pension Scheme, Tools, Company Van, Uniform(Polo Shirt),etc
