Transport Planner- ARC is advertising on behalf of a highly successful logistics company based
in Ipswich Suffolk where ‘You’ the person are key. Their employees are directly involved in the

They are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Transport Planner for their Trailer operation.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will work within the operations team, ensuring
the necessary trucking capacity to meet their clients demands, deliver excellent
service and control costs. The role will involve planning loads and organising deliveries
throughout the UK. This is based at their Nacton office.
Key tasks:
● Calculating truck capacity in ports
● Controlling and tracking drivers
● Communication with Drivers, colleagues, and Continental Offices
● Using internal software to input bookings
● Plan and organise the delivery/collection of goods to/from customers
● Ensure customers are kept up to date with delivery/collection times
● Operational administration as required
● Booking and tracking of shipments
As the Transport Planner you will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in trailer planning or
trucking environment and industry experience (short sea ro-ro market) would be advantageous
but not essential. You will have good communication skills. Ideally you will have good IT skills
and knowledge of UK geography.
