CLASS 1 DRIVER

Due to continued growth with a leading logistics company in Ipswich, Suffolk we are urgently seeking to recruit for an experienced hgv class 1 driver to work all year round on left-hand drive or right-hand drive vehicles.

THE ROLE
Working as a hgv 1 driver delivering general haulage goods to end user. You would be working with 3 main ports – Immingham, Felixstowe and Purfleet.

This position is permanent through our agency and work is available all year round.

SHIFTS
Monday to Friday tramping or odd nights out (£25 per night out paid) + weekend work available.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

Experience – minimum of 6 months hgv driving experience commercially in the UK;
Left-hand drive experience preferred but not required;
Qualifications and Licences – Driving Licence with C+E category, CPC Qualification Card, Tachograph Card;
Always be professional and have a positive attitude towards customers;
Basic understanding and speaking English;

THE ROLE
Working as a HGV Class 1 Fridge tramper driver delivering to cold storage units across the UK.

Days and hours of work: Ongoing day and night shifts
Start Date: 08th August
Salary/ Hourly rate:

Monday to Friday PAYE: £17.00 per hour UMBRELLA: £19.50 per hour

Saturday/Sunday PAYE: £18.25 per hour UMBRELLA: £20.50 per hour

8 hours paid minimum, 10 hours paid minimum after 4 consecutive days.

Overtime paid at time-and-a-half after 45 hours a week.

The client expects the driver to keep their vehicles in good condition and ensure that the loads are delivered safely. The vehicle must always be kept clean which means smoking in the cab is not permitted.

THE ROLE
HGV driver required working with a Logistic company within the Distribution sector who has reputation for quality and are a recognised market leader in their field.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

• Minimum 1 years’ experience on right hand drive
• Valid driving licence with category C+E
• Valid driver’s qualification card
• Valid driver’s tacho card

• Good understanding and speaking English
