Duties & Responsibilities of a Multi Skill Operative – Kitchen & Bathroom Fitter:

• As the Kitchen & Bathroom Fitter you’ll be required to carry out reactive and planned maintenance works on void properties.
• As the Kitchen & Bathroom Fitter you’ll be required to have good skills with carpentry and plumbing experience
• As the Kitchen & Bathroom Fitter you’ll ideally have a good variety of skills – Must have experience and be able plumb (with solder joints) fit kitchens and bathrooms, tile and patch plaster.
• As the Kitchen & Bathroom Fitter you’ll need to have experience working with domestic properties

Desirable Experience & Qualifications for the role of Kitchen Fitter:

• Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ level two or appropriate trade experience within at least 2 different trades
• Minimum 2 years experience fitting kitchens and bathrooms
• Experience working within property maintenance
• Full UK Driving licence

• Liaise with project management team

About the Candidate

• Proven record in surveying for the commercial fit-out contracts
• Preferably graduate in Quantity Surveying degree or similar

• Excellent analytical skills are essential, as are numeracy, literacy and communication skills in English

Rate:               £160 a day 

Our client, a subcontractor who deliver high quality services to clients in the social housing and local authority sector are seeking floor layer to join their maintenance team on a permanent basis.

The work will mainly be in Ipswich and the surrounding areas. Working hours are 08.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday with 30min lunch break. Overtaime available including weekends and nights if desired.

The role: Floor Layer (in particular vinyl sheet flooring) 

Working in void and occupied domestic properties mainly in and around the Ipswich area. This will be carrying out floor laying repairs in kitchens, bathrooms in void and occupied properties while at the same time offering a high standard of customer service.

Role requirements –

In order to be considered for the role you must have experinece in floor laying in particular vinly sheet flooring. 

– Have own tools

– Experience of facilities or housing maintenance (floor laying background) 

– Preferably have experience of working in social housing or tenanted properties.

– Full driving licence & van required. 

Travel around Ipswich will be required. 

Company van and fuel card will be provided which can be kept at home or full mileage paid if use of own van is optional.
