ARC are recruiting on behalf of our M&E client for Electricians to join their Electrical Engineering Division.

Experience with installations in an industrial environment would be beneficial

• The candidate will ideally be qualified to:
C&G Level 3 Electrical Inspection BS7671 (18th Edition) and
C&G Level 3 (2391-01) Inspection & Testing of Electrical installations.

• A fully expensed Company Service Van will be provided

• Their Electrical Division specialises in LV Installations & Upgrades, EV Charge Points, Thermal Imaging, Electrical Inspection & Testing, Power Quality Monitoring, Process Control systems, Lighting Systems, Fire Alarms, Compex, Control Panels & Switchboards – Design, Manufacture and Installation

• For fully qualified engineers potential earnings with overtime are between £39000 – £44000 and includes a fully expensed van and mobile phone. In certain roles engineers will require a laptop which is provided free. We also offer a discretionary end of year bonus.

They are now seeking a Contract Manager to Join their growing team!

You will be an integral member of the team, working alongside both our office-based team and visiting our on-site teams when required. The role offers a high level of responsibility, and the opportunity to progress with the company as it grows from strength to strength.

Job role :

• Oversight of companies multiple ongoing development projects.
• Experience in using Excel, CAD, Cable calculation and Test certificate systems.
• Develop a close relationship with the site teams and a detailed knowledge of your allocated sites by maintaining a visible site presence.
• On-Site meetings with clients, site managers and engineers.
• Material procurement  
• Contract management and dispute resolution.
• Assistance with the procurement of sub-contractors.
• Attend relevant project design, pre-start, specification, other relevant meetings as required.
• Support the site teams to running a successful development project.

The ideal candidate:

• Highly organised.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Previous experience in a similar role within commercial sector.
• Previous onsite experience.
• A strong knowledge and appreciation of UK building and Electrical regulations
• Experience managing both internal teams and external clients in a commercial environment.

Strong knowledge and experience of relevant IT systems and experience with MS Office – strong excel skills essential as this is our preferred method of analysis / budget tracking

Suitability:

Reporting to the Health and Safety Adviser you would provide administrative support and assist in the co-ordination and implementation of Health and Safety policies and practices.
Working with all members of the operations and management teams to ensure that responsibilities are effective and consistently carried out.

Assists with a broad range of functions providing support for all activities related to the maintenance of health and safety, compliance, and environmental.

As the Health & Safety Coordinator, your duties would include:-

• Supporting the processes the Company needs to meet its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
• Support the development of health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.

• To maintain records and statistics relating to health and safety training, hazard and Near Miss reporting, accidents and incidents.

• Ensure full and accurate health and safety and training records are maintained.
• Assist with various annual accreditation renewals and PPQ’s
• Participate in meetings when required to report on relevant health & safety matters.
• Assist with the scheduling of our fleet maintenance/service & repairs.
• Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.

Requirements:-

• Recent and relevant experience in Health & Safety.
• Experience of coordinating, implementing Health & Safety requirements, policies, and procedures
• IOSH Managing safely or
• NEBOSH General Certificate

• Professional approach, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
• Good planning, organisational and time management skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
