Mechanical Installation Engineer
Location: Norwich Area
Salary: From £35,000 per year (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Contract: Full-time, subject to a three-month probation period
Overview:
A well-established and expanding company is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to join its growing team. This role involves fabrication, installation, and maintenance of pumping systems across various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and mechanical support for pumping systems in both commercial and domestic environments.
- Servicing, fault diagnosis, and maintenance of clean and dirty water systems.
- On-site management of installation projects, working closely with the Manager from quotation to completion.
- Technical support for customers and staff, ensuring projects meet recognized industry standards.
- TIG and MMA pipe welding on stainless steel (SS) and carbon steel (CS) pipelines (desirable).
- Interpretation of Layout and P&ID drawings and understanding of control equipment (desirable).
- Managing weekend/evening emergency callouts on a rota with other engineers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field or at least 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- CSCS/ECS Card (required).
- Knowledge of lifting operations and pipework installations (desirable).
Additional Information:
- Standard 39-hour work week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
- Overtime may be required.
- Occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
