Supervisor
Job Title: Working Supervisor
Job Type: Permanent full time position – Monday to Friday
Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas
Rate of pay: £38,000-£40,000 per annum plus a company van
We are currently recruiting for a Working Supervisor to join a reputable social housing contractor, overseeing a Damp & Mould contract.
This is a hands-on position, where you will be expected to carry out remedial works alongside supervising operatives, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate operatives carrying out damp and mould works
- Carry out hands-on remedial works when required
- Lead by example and support operatives on-site
- Manage contractors and in-house teams to ensure works are completed to a high standard
- Carry out property inspections, quality checks and monitor remedial works
- Identify damp and mould issues and ensure appropriate remedial solutions are completed
- Monitor workloads, schedules and health & safety compliance
- Liaise with tenants, clients and contractors to resolve issues and provide updates
- Ensure works are completed within agreed timescales and contract standards
- Complete job sheets, reports and other relevant documentation
- Support the Contract Manager with day-to-day delivery of the damp and mould programme
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Working Supervisor, Supervisor or experienced Multi-Trade Operative
- Previous experience within social housing, property maintenance or responsive repairs
- Experience working on damp and mould remedial works is highly desirable
- Strong practical knowledge of building maintenance and property repairs
- Ability to carry out hands-on works alongside supervising a team
- Experience carrying out property inspections and quality checks
- SMSTS certification
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
- Full UK driving licence

Carpenter Multi Trade
Job Title: Multi Trade – Carpenter
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Covering Cambridgeshire areas
Rate of pay: £35,250K per annum + company van
ARC is looking for reliable and skilled Multi-Trade Carpenter to join our client, a well-established contractor specialising in social housing maintenance and repairs.
The Role:
You’ll be carrying out a range of maintenance and repair works within occupied and void properties, including:
– 1st and 2nd fix carpentry
– Hanging doors, fitting locks, skirting boards and kitchen repairs
– Basic plumbing
– Patch plastering
– Painting and decorating
– General property maintenance and multi-trade repairs
What We’re Looking For:
– Proven experience as a Carpenter within property maintenance, repairs or social housing

Fire Door Installer
Job Title: Fire Door Installer
Job Type: Temp to Perm – 40 hours per week
Location: Thetford
Rate of pay: £43,680 per annum
ARC are currently looking for Fire Door Installers, who are looking for long term work.
For this position, you must have the following:
- Installed fire-stopping systems to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Installed and maintained fire-stopping penetrations, cavity barriers, pipe collars, wraps, fire-rated walls, ceilings, overboxes, and bulkheads.
- Worked across East Anglia, including Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, and Hertfordshire.
- Completed projects independently and within teams on social housing, MOD, healthcare, and education sites.
- Identified and rectified compliance issues, ensuring all work met current regulations and best practice
You must have the following to qualify:
- 2-3 years experience
- Driving Licence
- Own Tools
- Knowledge of using fire evidence based apps

Experienced in surveying fire doors across social housing, MOD, healthcare, care home and educational settings, ensuring compliance with fire safety standards. Skilled in supervising installations, troubleshooting issues, and recording detailed surveys using digital inspection software across East Anglia.
You must have the following to qualify for this position:
- Up to 3 years experience in Fire Doors
- Fire Door installer background
- Basic IT competency
- Familiar with FIRAS and/or B.M Trada certification schemes
