The Role: Carpenter/ Multi-trade
Location: Kings Lynn and surrounding areas
Job Type: Full-time, temp to perm
Salary: £32,000.00 – £34,000.00 per year
Hourly Rate: from £14.00 p/h PAYE to £18.00 per hour CIS s-e
Company, Project & benefits of a Carpenter/Multi-Trader:
Our client, a large family run business with over 50 years in building industry are seeking a Carpenter/Multi-Trader to join their maintenance team on an ongoing basis carrying out essential planned maintenance, installation and repair works. We are looking for someone who has enough experience with domestic and commercial installations for local contract.
The work will mainly be in Kings Lynn and the surrounding areas. Working hours are 08.00 – 17.00 Monday to Friday with 30min lunch break.
Responsibilities of a Carpenter/Multi-Trader:
Work in a safe, professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all works are carried out with all due regard to the Health and Safety of all persons that may be affected by the works.
Undertake the duties and responsibilities of the post and at all times ensuring compliance with our Health & Safety Policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Practices, COSHH Assessments and all relevant Health & Safety Regulations.
Conduct yourself in a manner that will bring credit to yourself in all dealings with our customers and the public in general.
Availability to work flexible working hours
Any other duties including multi skilling works associated with your core trade.
Desirable Experience of a Multi-Trader:
Experience in maintenance and repair work in occupied residential properties. Good skills in a variety of trades including 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, basic plumbing, kicthen fittings basic painting, plastering and wall tiling etc
Proven experience in all aspects of planned works and repairs and previous experience of working in social housing or tenanted properties.
Qualifications & Skills of a Carpenter/Multi-Trader:
City & Guilds Level 2 or NVQ level 2 or equivalent in carpentry installations.
Proven ability to produce work consistently to a high standards
Ability to complete relevant certification for Multi-trade works self-motivated able to work on your own initiative
Willingness or experience in using a handheld Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to complete work and maintain van stocks.
Holder of a full current driving licence
Proven interpersonal and technical skills.
Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
Both self-employed and PAYE options are available on temporary basis. Paid mileage if own van is used.
Permanent offer includes van, fuel card, phone, 20 days leave.
