Temporary GP Admin Assistant

Hours – To be agreed during normal Practice Hours
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a temporary admin assistant for their GP Practice in Letchworth Garden City. This is initially for 2 months with the potential for extension.
Full or part time hours considered.
THE ROLE
- To perform a variety of duties as directed by the Practice Manager / Admin Team
- General admin duties to include (but not limited to) answering telephone, assisting patients, supporting all colleagues and the use of SystmOne (electronic patient record system)
- To assist with maintenance of records, in written or computerised format
- Deal promptly and appropriately with any queries received or concerns raised
- To ensure compliance and quality assurance is met in line with company procedures and CQC regulations
- To ensure that all associated information is recorded accurately and promptly
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
- Previous experience in a similar role essential
- Experience using SystmOne
- Ideally worked in General Practice
- Worked in a healthcare setting essential
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Passionate in delivering a high quality service to all.
- Sociable team player, flexible and committed
- Accurate and IT literate – Microsoft Office experience
- Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure
