We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Social Housing Kitchen & Bathroom Fitter to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality kitchen and bathroom fitting services to our social housing clients, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Responsibilities of a Kitchen & Bathroom Installer :
- Fitting new kitchens and bathrooms in social housing properties
- Carrying out repairs and maintenance to existing kitchens and bathrooms
- Liaising with clients and other contractors to ensure that work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies and procedures
- Maintaining accurate records of work carried out and materials used
- Providing excellent customer service to our social housing clients
Desirable Experience of a Kitchen & Bathroom Installer :
- Experience in maintenance and repair work in void residential properties as a K&B installer.
- Good skills in a variety of trades including plumbing, bathroom fitting, carpentry and basic painting, plastering and wall tiling etc
- Proven experience in all aspects of planned works and repairs and previous experience of working in social housing or tenanted properties.
- Experience of fitting kitchens and bathrooms in social housing properties
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g. Building Regulations, Water Regulations)
- Excellent carpentry and plumbing skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a teaM
- Full UK driving licence WITH USE OF OWN VAN
Qualifications & Skills of a Kitchen & Bathroom Installer :
- City & Guilds Level 2 or NVQ level 2 or equivalent in plumbing and heating installation.
- Proven ability to produce work consistently to a high standard
- Ability to complete relevant certification for Plumbing works self-motivated able to work on your own initiative
- Willingness or experience in using a handheld Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to complete work and maintain van stocks.
- Holder of a full current driving licence
- Proven interpersonal and technical skills.
- Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
Both self-employed (CIS) and PAYE options are available.
