Job Title – Contract Administrator
Location: Norwich
Job Type: Full-time (08.00 – 17.00 Mon – Fri)
Salary: from £22,000.00- £24,000 per annum (depending on experinece)
Our client, a large well-established social housing contractor responsible for the repairs and maintenance of 1000s of properties across the East is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to join their team for an immediate temporary to permanent opportunity based in Norwich.
Job description
As a Contract Administrator, your day-to-day duties will involve:
- Providing day to day administration support for local authority maintenance and repairs contracts.
- Raising invoices
- Arranging surveyor visits on a planned basis
- Raising material orders for operatives
- Planning workload to meet completion date deadlines
- Collating all supporting documents
- Recording, processing and resolving queries
- Liaising with internal teams, chasing progress and collating all supporting documents
- Ensuring all internal systems are consistently maintained by updating status on real time basis.
- Liaising with residents/operatives /surveyors/supervisors/clients
- Answering telephone calls from customers with queries and booking in day to day appointments to carry out repairs.
- Producing update reports for internal management
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role is preferred
- Being organised and efficient are key skills which you will utilise on a daily basis.
- Have a flexible approach to working, with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word and Outlook) and extensive experience of using and updating databases.
- Excellent administration skills
- High level of customer service skills and a good telephone manner
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of the English language, both written and verbal
- Have an excellent eye for detail and a flexible approach as well as being articulate and a good communicator
- Keen to learn and develop within an administrative role
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience of dealing with sensitive and confidential matters
- GCSEs
