Our client a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across the East is looking for an experienced domestic electrician to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract assisting in the reactive repairs and void operations in properties covering ….. and the surrounding areas.

What we are looking for:

• Experience of installing, servicing and maintaining electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current Edition of IET Wiring Regulations.
• Knowledge to install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical Condition Report.

What you need to have:

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
• City & Guilds  17th or 18th Edition
• Inspection and Testing 2391/2 2394/5 or equivalent
• Ideally previous domestic, social housing experience

Working hours will be Monday to Friday 08:00am to 17:00pm with 30 minutes lunch. 

There is an on call rota which you will be asked to join after a qualifying period.

The pay rate is based on a self-employed basis. PAYE is available and the rate will be dependent on the preferred method of payment.

Immediate start available for the right candidate. The interview may also include a trade test to assess suitability for the role. 

The role is offered on a temp-perm basis with the potential to lead to a full time position with the company after 13 weeks as long as performance and standards are met.

Our client a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across the East is looking for an experienced Carpenter/ multi trader to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract assisting in the reactive repairs and void operations in properties covering Bury,Thetford, Haverhill, Newmarket, Cambridge the surrounding areas. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced carpenter who also holds skills in plumbing and other trades.

This is a mobile engineer role covering domestic maintenance works.
 
The success individual will ideally hold a minimum level 2 NVQ or be time-served in carpentry whilst also being experienced in completing various other day to day repairs/maintenance tasks such as plumbing, plastering tiling, painting and decorating etc. As a skilled multi- trade operative with relevant experience in responsive maintenance and voids works you will be required to undertake a variety of allocated works across your designated area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Management of day to day jobs allocated by a central team.
• Updating PDA devices with key information and work schedules.
• To ensure all assigned tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient standard.
• Promoting the client’s corporate image and excellent service standard on every resident visit.
• Making decisions upon specialist experience and knowledge.
• Ensuring compliance at all times with necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities of repair work and contractor compliance.
• Managing van stock effectively.
• Taking part in out of hours on call system as required by the service.

Job Title – Clean and Clear Labourer

Our client is a large local authority providing repairs and maintenance services to 100s of properties across the Norwich area.

They are currently recruiting for a full-time clean and clear labourer to join their team. 

Key objective of role:

The main role of being a driver labourer is to support the delivery of the responsive and void work streams whilst in the field. You will be required to provide support for both the Repairs and Voids Managers and your specific operations centre planner team. The role will be a fluid and flexible position providing varying levels of support across different aspects of the work streams. The driver labourer role will require an individual with a “can do attitude” to embrace and accommodate a wide range of tasks.

The main responsibilities of the role include –

– The clearance of properties including removal of rubbish after tenants have left preparing them for re-occupation.

– Garden clearance

– Wall – paper stripping

– Any other general duties as required by the client.

The successful applicant must have a full driving licence as you will often be required to remove waste in a van and take it to the nearest refuse centre and collect materials as required.
