Our client, a property maintenance company who carry out repairs and maintenance on social housing properties, are looking for a Multi-Trader to carry our general maintenance and repairs on void (empty) local authority domestic properties in Peterborough, Boston and the surrounding area. The candidate will ideally hold a minimum Level 2 NVQ quallification or be time-served in carpentry, whilst also being experienced in completing various other day-to-day repairs and maintenance tasks including plumbing, plastering tiling, painting and decorating etc.

Main responsibilities of the role – Business Support Co-ordinator

Receive works orders from customers via the telephone/email or any social platform (live chat/my account)
Identify repair works to be carried out against the scope of service.
Understanding priorities and diagnosis of jobs, to allow for efficiency.
Receive works orders from Repairs and Voids Managers in relation to void properties.
Enter and configure data using the software system and other company standard software packages including responsive and voids works

Responsibilities of a PV Installer

Setting up solar panels on roofs or other structures to convert solar power into renewable energy

Measuring, cutting and assembling the support structure for installation
Making adjustments to building surfaces so panels fit and are adequately supported
Installing and maintaining solar panels on homes and business premises

Adhering to strict Health & Safety guidelines

Previous experience in roofing and fitting solar panels

To carry out multi-trade maintenance and repair works to all required properties. This will be achieved by demonstrating a thorough competency in various trades, in addition to using the skills obtained through a core trade qualification.

Key Functional Responsibilities:

Work in a safe, professional, and courteous manner always, ensuring that all works are carried out with due regard to the Health and Safety of all persons that may be affected by the works
Undertake the duties and responsibilities of the post and comply with company Health & Safety Policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Practices, COSHH Assessments and all relevant Health & Safety Regulations.
Uphold company customer service standards while undertaking repairs and maintenance in residents’ homes or Assets.
Hold and maintain a Full Driving Licence.
Take part in the late Wednesday evening rota (4-7pm) undertaking responsive repairs. Average of 1 in 8 weeks.

What you need to have:

- Minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
- City & Guilds 17th or 18th Edition
- Inspection and Testing 2391/2 2394/5 or equivalent
- Ideally previous domestic, social housing experience
- Time served with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday 07.30am to 16:00pm with 30 minutes lunch deducted. A van, fuel card and uniform will be issued with this role. Overtime available & paid x 1.5.

There is an on call rota which you will be asked to join after a qualifying period. DBS check will be required for this role.

Immediate start available for the right candidate. The interview will be arranged to assess suitability for the role.

This is a mobile engineer role covering domestic maintenance works.

The successful individual will ideally hold a minimum level 2 NVQ or be time-served in carpentry whilst also being experienced in completing various other day to day repairs/maintenance tasks such as plumbing, plastering, tiling,roofing, painting and decorating etc. As a skilled multi- trade operative with relevant experience in responsive maintenance and voids works you will be required to undertake a variety of allocated works across your designated area.

Main responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to:

Basic data inputting role

Checking job numbers against an orders portal

Taking hours from paper timesheets and adding onto Excel spreadsheets against relevant operative

Taking details off the Excel spreadsheet

Doing minor multiplication and adding onto other spreadsheets

Taking costs from supplier portal and placing on spreadsheets

Good with Excel

Carry out all allocated tasks competently within determined time scales, financial budgets and free costs targets.

Provide effective support and assistance to the Line Manager.

Maintain the effectiveness of the IT systems used.

Co-ordinating and liaising with a team.

Provide administration support to other team members and staff where appropriate.

The suitable candidate will ideally have a sound knowledge of social housing properties and their defects would be an advantage.
