About the role

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Operative to join tehir Maintenance Team! Do you have a passion for the work you do and want to make a difference in our tenants’ lives? Then this might be the opportunity for you!

This role is responsible for carrying out responsive repairs to our tenants’ homes in a timely, efficient, and high standard within one of Maintenence Teams. The ideal candidate would be required to have a background in 2 or more of the following:

Brickwork/Blockwork (Minor repairs)
Fencing – Close board, chain link and strand wire
Plastering – Both full rooms and patch work
Artexing and overboarding
Paving and Patios
Drainage (Soakaways, main water excavation)
Roof works (Minor repairs)
Floor Levelling
Ceramic Wall Tiling
Minor Painting and Decorating

This role will be required to be part of an on-call rota and a full driving licence is required; a basic DBS check will be carried out before employment.

About You

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and experience of working in Property Maintenance ideally within Social Housing.

You will need either a full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ at Level 2 or appropriate trade experience within at least 2 different trades, you’ll have experience of delivering great customer service and have good digital skills whilst being adaptable to evolving IT systems.

Working on days 07.00am start till 15.30/16.00hrs , aprox 9 hours a day, Monday to Friday, times and days may vary. This is ongoing, long term job after successful training. Own transport is essential due to location of the job. Pay starts from £9.87 per hour.

Packing , boxing and labelling already packed products
Loading /unloading & strapping pallets
Assisting busy production line
General Lifting

Our client, a large social housing contractor, is seeking a qualified Domestic Electrician to work in occupied and void properties undertaking responsive maintenance, planned and void works. You will be responsible for replacing accessories, fault finding, consumer unit upgrades, installing fans, smoke detectors, full and partial rewiring, and Electrical Installation Condition Reports in domestic properties.

Duties & Responsibilities of a Domestic Electrician:

Install service and maintain electrical systems and appliances in domestic and commercial properties to a high-quality standard in accordance with the current Edition of The IET Wiring Regulations.
Install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and have the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate for the task.
Excellent customer care qualities are vital to this role. You will be expected to liaise with customers and clients daily.
You will be expected to manage and order van stock which will be tailored to your requirements.
Competent use of handheld PDA’s is required to receive and complete job orders.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Ensure company H&S procedures are followed

Previous experience working in a customer service-based role is essential, and experience within Social Housing would be useful but is not essential

We are looking for a highly organised senior administrator to undertake the role of Voids Co-ordinator. This is a business critical role within Building Maintenance which involves working with large amounts of data where excellent attention to detail is essential. You must be a confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel to provide service stats and reports. The ability to work under pressure, multitask and prioritise your own workload is essential for this role.

This is a busy and varied role supporting the delivery of the Building Maintenance contract for local council.

You will be responsible for continuously monitoring and reviewing performance delivery and make real time adjustments to work diaries to maximise the use of available resources, prioritising direct employed resources.

Main responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to:

Carry out all allocated tasks competently within determined time scales, financial budgets and free costs targets.

Provide effective support and assistance to the Contracts Manager.

Maintain the effectiveness of the IT systems used.

Provide a seamless service to all customers by ensuring resources are scheduled to ensure that customers are given timely appointments within agreed priorities

Regularly check own email inbox as well as other inboxes if on the rota to do so.

Co-ordinating and liaising on all rubbish collections.

Provide administration support to other team members and staff where appropriate.

Support the Management team to promote the repairs and maintenance services to customers, contractors and suppliers, including to external clients.

Assist the Contracts Manager with the daily liaison and monitoring of the supply chain’s activities to ensure service standards are maintained, reporting potential deviations from performance to same.

The suitable candidate will ideally have a good level of knowledge and experience in call handling and customer liaison.

A sound knowledge of social housing properties and their defects would be an advantage.

It would also be beneficial if you have experience in the following –

– Experience of working with appointment and repairs systems.

– Extensive experience of working in a customer focused environment

– The ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines while organising own working schedule.
