The Role: Kitchen Fitter

Location: Thetford, Brandon and surrounding areas

Job Type: Full-time, temp to perm.

Salary: £31,000 – £33,000 per annum plus bonus incentives with van and fuel card.

Our client a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across the East is looking for an experienced Kitchen Fitter to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract assisting in void and reactive operations in properties covering Thetford ,Brandon and the surrounding areas. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced kitchen fitter who also holds skills in basic plumbing and other trades.

Duties:

The full installation of a kitchen upgrade

The ability to read drawings

Basic decorating skills

Ceramic tiling

Floor levelling

Laying of floor tiles

Basic Plumbing

Main Responsibilities:

To be responsible for the effective and efficient repairs of all Kitchen Fitting duties, including all associated works within both occupied and void properties using the required tools.

To assess and carry out accurate planned repairs efficiently and effectively maintaining our company ‘Right First Time ‘approach towards our customers.

To ensure that the work is undertaken in a timely manner, whilst maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

To manage customer enquiries, responding in a professional manner coordinating with our Operations Centre.

Providing out of hours support on a rota based system. Additional remuneration will be incorporated for this.

Candidates must have the following:

Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 within a relevant trade OR a proven track record to reflect appropriate trade experience with Kitchen modification

Full UK Driving License

A good knowledge of the general building and construction industry

Good understanding and knowledge of basic Health and Safety

Contract: Full time , temp to perm after 13 weeks. Van and Fuel card included.

Salary from: £16 – £17 per hour CIS, will lower when you go permanent after 13 weeks. PAYE options also available for 13 weeks. Weekly pay through ARC.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 08.00 – 17.00hrs. Monday to Thursday, early finish Friday. 30 minutes lunch.

Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 2 or 1 Years’ Experience (required)
Full Valid Manual Driving License (required)

Our client, a large social housing contractor, are looking for a full-time Clean & Clear Labourer to join their maintenance team on an ongoing basis.

The main responsibilities of the role include –

Clearing properties after tenants have left and preparing them for new tenants
Removing rubbish and taking to the tip
Collecting materials
Wall-paper stripping
Garden clearance
Any other general duties as required by the client.

The successful applicant must have a full driving licence as you will often be required to remove waste in a van and take it to the nearest refuse centre and collect materials, as required.

This is a full-time, temp to perm role starting asap. Monday – Friday 8-5pm

Job Role – Painter and Decorator

Location – Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas

Pay Rate – £145.00 per day (must have own van)

Working hours are 8-5pm Monday to Friday.

The role

The role will involve working in void and occupied domestic properties mainly in and around the Norwich area. This will be painting and decorating kitchens, bathrooms and interiors while at the same time offering a high standard of customer service.

Role requirements

In order to be considered for the role you must have good skills in a variety of trades such as general painting, decorating mainly kitchen and bathroom areas.

– Asbestos Awareness & Manual Handling Certificates (we can provide access to free online courses)

– Minimum of 2 years professional painting experience

– Have own tools (brushes & whites) and transport

– Experience of facilities or housing maintenance

– Preferably have experience of working in social housing or tenanted properties.

– Full driving licence & van required.

Our client, a maintenance contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across Norfolk & Suffolk is looking for a full-time bathroom fitter (wet room experience a bonus but not essential) on a full-time permanent basis. As part of our planned works team, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of Bathroom refurbishments and installs including all associated works within both occupied and unoccupied properties.

Our client a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across the East is looking for an experienced Carpenter/ multi trade to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract assisting in the reactive repairs and void operations in properties covering Great Yarmouth / Lowestoft/ Saxmundam & Leiston area. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced carpenter who also holds skills in plumbing and other trades.

This is a mobile engineer role covering domestic maintenance works.

The successful individual will ideally hold a minimum level 2 NVQ or be time-served in carpentry whilst also being experienced in completing various other day to day repairs/maintenance tasks such as plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting and decorating etc. As a skilled multi- trade operative with relevant experience in responsive maintenance and voids works you will be required to undertake a variety of allocated works across your designated area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Management of day to day jobs allocated by a central team.
Updating PDA devices with key information and work schedules.
To ensure all assigned tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient standard.
Promoting the client’s corporate image and excellent service standard on every resident visit.
Making decisions upon specialist experience and knowledge.
Ensuring compliance at all times with necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities of repair work and contractor compliance.
Managing van stock effectively.

For example clearing properties ready for works, some garden maintenance and clearances as well as general handyperson maintenance and labouring. You will be required to have a “can do attitude” to embrace and accommodate all tasks. The company have just won numerous contracts in the Suffolk area and are looking to expand their friendly hard working team.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

– General labouring and assisting a skilled trades person on void properties in and around Ipswich and Felixstowe.
