We have an exciting opportunity for a Plasterer to join a property maintenance company to carry out void and reactive works in and around the Grantham/Lincolnshire area, assisting with all trade related tasks and ensuring that all properties are repaired, adapted and refurbished to a high standard.

Duties & Responsibilities of a Plasterer:

Responsible for the effective delivery of plastering and repair including preparation of walls for impending damp injection works, full plaster works, patch repairs, skimming, coving, bonding, artexing, overboarding, rendering, basic painting and decorating, and basic carpentry, within the void, responsive and planned repair service, using the required tools
To assess and carry out accurate planned repairs efficiently and effectively maintaining our company
You will ensure that the work is undertaken in a timely manner, whilst maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
You will manage customer enquiries, responding in a professional manner coordinating with our Operations Centre.
To undertake any other duties as required by the Group from time to time, if these duties are of a greater level of responsibility or skill that those required in the post, then full training and appropriate supervision will be provided.
Work on own initiative to ensure that all repairs are carried out efficiently to ensure the right level of customer satisfaction is achieved.
Take responsibility for all transport, equipment or mobile phone devices issued and ensure that they are kept in excellent condition and secure at all times.
Take personal responsibility for own Health, Safety and Welfare and that of colleagues in the workplace.
Take personal responsibility for seeking value for money opportunities to get service right first time.
Understand and use measures to enable continuous improvement.

Desirable Experience of a Plasterer:

A good knowledge of the general building and construction industry (essential)
Experience of other trades including painting and tiling would be advantageous
Good understanding and knowledge of basic Health and Safety (essential)
Experience in ordering and collecting materials and/or plant hire (desirable)
Experience of property maintenance (desirable)
Experience of working within the Social Housing sector (desirable)

Qualifications & Skills of a Plasterer:

Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 within a relevant trade OR a proven track record to reflect appropriate trade experience with plastering
Full UK Driving Licence

Our client a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across the East is looking for an experienced Kitchen Fitter to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract assisting in void and reactive operations in properties covering Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft and the surrounding areas. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced kitchen fitter who also holds skills in basic plumbing and other trades.

Duties:

The full installation of a kitchen upgrade

The ability to read drawings

Basic decorating skills

Ceramic tiling

Floor levelling

Laying of floor tiles

Basic Plumbing

Main Responsibilities:

To be responsible for the effective and efficient repairs of all Kitchen Fitting duties, including all associated works within both occupied and void properties using the required tools.

The role will primarily involve answering calls from tenants and live chat online and dealing with the enquiries accordingly. Applicants with strong experience in a customer services or call centre role would be welcomed.

Main responsibilities of the role –

Receive works orders from customers via the telephone/email or any social platform (live chat/my account)
Identify repair works to be carried out against the scope of service.

Our client a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to properties across the East, is looking for an experienced Carpenter/ Multi-Trader to carry out domestic maintenance works on a social housing contract, assisting in the reactive repairs and void operations in properties covering all areas of Norfolk. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced carpenter who also holds skills in plumbing and other trades.

The successful individual will ideally hold a minimum level 2 NVQ or be time-served in carpentry whilst also being experienced in completing various other day-to-day repairs/maintenance tasks such as plumbing, plastering tiling, painting and decorating etc. As a skilled multi- trade operative with relevant experience in responsive maintenance and voids works you will be required to undertake a variety of allocated works across your designated area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Management of day-to-day jobs allocated by a central team.
Updating PDA devices with key information and work schedules.
Ensuring all assigned tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient standard.
Promoting the client’s corporate image and excellent service standard on every resident visit.
