We have an exciting opportunity for a Plasterer to join a property maintenance company to carry out void and reactive works in and around the Grantham/Lincolnshire area, assisting with all trade related tasks and ensuring that all properties are repaired, adapted and refurbished to a high standard.
Duties & Responsibilities of a Plasterer:
- Responsible for the effective delivery of plastering and repair including preparation of walls for impending damp injection works, full plaster works, patch repairs, skimming, coving, bonding, artexing, overboarding, rendering, basic painting and decorating, and basic carpentry, within the void, responsive and planned repair service, using the required tools
- To assess and carry out accurate planned repairs efficiently and effectively maintaining our company
- You will ensure that the work is undertaken in a timely manner, whilst maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- You will manage customer enquiries, responding in a professional manner coordinating with our Operations Centre.
- To undertake any other duties as required by the Group from time to time, if these duties are of a greater level of responsibility or skill that those required in the post, then full training and appropriate supervision will be provided.
- Work on own initiative to ensure that all repairs are carried out efficiently to ensure the right level of customer satisfaction is achieved.
- Take responsibility for all transport, equipment or mobile phone devices issued and ensure that they are kept in excellent condition and secure at all times.
- Take personal responsibility for own Health, Safety and Welfare and that of colleagues in the workplace.
- Take personal responsibility for seeking value for money opportunities to get service right first time.
- Understand and use measures to enable continuous improvement.
- Take personal responsibility for the understanding and application by the team and individuals and striving for continuous improvement.
- Ensure that It Security and Data Protection Legislation is adhered to at all times.
Desirable Experience of a Plasterer:
- A good knowledge of the general building and construction industry (essential)
- Experience of other trades including painting and tiling would be advantageous
- Good understanding and knowledge of basic Health and Safety (essential)
- Experience in ordering and collecting materials and/or plant hire (desirable)
- Experience of property maintenance (desirable)
- Experience of working within the Social Housing sector (desirable)
Qualifications & Skills of a Plasterer:
- Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 within a relevant trade OR a proven track record to reflect appropriate trade experience with plastering
- Full UK Driving Licence

This role is offeretd on a temp to perm basis with the potential to lead to a permanent position with the company
You will need to have your own van/transport for this specific role, and mileage will be paid. A company van may be provided once the role becomess permanent
