The Role: Kitchen Fitter
Location: Thetford, Brandon and surrounding areas
Job Type: Full-time, temp to perm.
Salary: £31,000 – £33,000 per annum plus bonus incentives with van and fuel card.
Our client a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across the East is looking for an experienced Kitchen Fitter to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract assisting in void and reactive operations in properties covering Thetford ,Brandon and the surrounding areas. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced kitchen fitter who also holds skills in basic plumbing and other trades.
Duties:
- The full installation of a kitchen upgrade
- The ability to read drawings
Main Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the effective and efficient repairs of all Kitchen Fitting duties, including all associated works within both occupied and void properties using the required tools.
- To assess and carry out accurate planned repairs efficiently and effectively maintaining our company ‘Right First Time ‘approach towards our customers.
- To ensure that the work is undertaken in a timely manner, whilst maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- To manage customer enquiries, responding in a professional manner coordinating with our Operations Centre.
- Providing out of hours support on a rota based system. Additional remuneration will be incorporated for this.
Candidates must have the following:
- Minimum of either full trade Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2 within a relevant trade OR a proven track record to reflect appropriate trade experience with Kitchen modification
- A good knowledge of the general building and construction industry
- Good understanding and knowledge of basic Health and Safety
Contract: Full time , temp to perm after 13 weeks. Van and Fuel card included.
Salary from: £16 – £17 per hour CIS, will lower when you go permanent after 13 weeks. PAYE options also available for 13 weeks. Weekly pay through ARC.
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 08.00 – 17.00hrs. Monday to Thursday, early finish Friday. 30 minutes lunch.
Experience:
- Workplace Health and Safety: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 2 or 1 Years’ Experience (required)
- Full Valid Manual Driving License (required)
