Our client a well-known social housing/pub refurbishment contractor responsible for the maintenance of 1000s of properties across the East, are recruiting for an experienced working supervisor to oversee the running of a busy voids and repairs maintenance programme across Norfolk/Suffolk area . Duties would be to pre survey/site audit voids and repairs and manage operatives on site.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role include –

Overseeing site operations of sub-contractors and site personnel working mainly on void housing upgrades, ensuring work is being carried out correctly and health and safety compliance is adhered to at all times. The role will also involve-

– Supporting the senior management in the needs of the business
– Maintain and monitor excellent standards of work and client satisfaction
– Arranging materials to site as required
– Surveying of properties.

Our client a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across the East is looking for an experienced Kitchen Fitter to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract assisting in void and reactive operations in properties covering Thetford ,Brandon and the surrounding areas. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced kitchen fitter who also holds skills in basic plumbing and other trades.

The role

Our client a large local housing association responsible for the maintenance and repairs of thousands of properties across Norfolk and Suffolk are currently looking for a Full Time Heating Engineer to work as a part of their maintanace team.

Job Purpose:

To work as part of the Local Delivery Directorate in ensuring that the Association’s properties are kept to the Association’s standard. To ensure that gas servicing, gas related breakdowns and new boiler and system installations are carried out efficiently and effectively and to the customer’s satisfaction. To ensure installations are carried out in accordance with the Association procedures are carried out in accordance with the latest regulations. Manage own workload on a day to day basis with regards to the planned function.

Domestic Gas appliance/s servicing and maintenance , Inspections and Servicing of Domestic Gas Boilers, visual inspections of tenant owned appliances, including minor maintenance and repairs to boilers and associated heating system components. All servicing and maintenance must be completed In Accordance with Gas safe Regulations and appliance manufacturing instructions.

Engineer will need to complete all relevant supporting compliance forms / paperwork and operate a handheld device to manage and complete jobs digitally.

You are responsible, often working without supervision, for the effective and efficient delivery of your contribution to the gas servicing programme, responsive repair breakdown service, gas boiler and new system installations, as well as gas works within void properties.

You will ensure that the work is undertaken in a timely manner consistent with prescribed performance indicators advised.
You will deal with tenant enquiries and respond in a professional manner reporting anything back to the Local Delivery Manager / Local Delivery Team Leader.
Be prepared, if requested, to act as a mentor to trainees within the Association and encourage a learning environment.
You will on a rota-based system be required to be part of the team carrying out work out of hours.
Comply with the policies and practices of the Association, to deliver and act in accordance with the Association’s Dignity and Diversity Policy and Procedure and to be responsible for undertaking working practices in a safe manner in accordance with the Association’s Health and Safety Policy
To undertake any other duties as required by the Association from time to time. If these duties are of a greater level of responsibility or skill that those required in the post, then full training and appropriate supervision will be provided.

Our client a large local social housing contractor providing maintenance services to 1000s of properties across the East is looking for an experienced Carpenter/ multi trade to work on a domestic maintenance social housing contract assisting in the reactive repairs and void operations in properties covering Norwich, Dereham and North Norfolk areas. The candidate will ideally be a skilled and experienced carpenter who also holds skills in plumbing and other trades.

This is a mobile engineer role covering domestic maintenance works.

The successful individual will ideally hold a minimum level 2 NVQ or be time-served in carpentry whilst also being experienced in completing various other day to day repairs/maintenance tasks such as plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting and decorating etc. As a skilled multi- trade operative with relevant experience in responsive maintenance and voids works you will be required to undertake a variety of allocated works across your designated area.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Management of day to day jobs allocated by a central team.
Updating PDA devices with key information and work schedules.
To ensure all assigned tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient standard.
Promoting the client’s corporate image and excellent service standard on every resident visit.
Making decisions upon specialist experience and knowledge.
Ensuring compliance at all times with necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities of repair work and contractor compliance.
Managing van stock effectively.
Taking part in out of hours on call system as required by the service.
